Hi, just curious about the significance of more than one pushrod bending, I know you can just replace them with new ones, but what happened?
@torque4057 күн бұрын
@@AmpasaurusWrecks there’s a couple things I think could have been the cause the engine was stuck from setting so long when it broke loose a valve could also been stuck and piston pushed it back and bent it or the valve adjustment was off or it happened before it got parked for so long and they floated the valves over revving the engine which would explain why it might have been parked so long , and they had put a new cap and rotor on possibly trying to chase the misfires and rough running

I have a 2005 Toyota Tundra SR5 Double Cab I bought New. 10 years ago I got a letter from Toyota about Frame rust. I brought my Truck To My Local Dealership where I bought the truck. They gave me a loaner Vehicle. The next morning I got a call From the dealership. They said that the frame Was Like Brand New and Didn't need a Frame. I told them I Am a mechanic and i always pressure washed the underside of the truck in the winter. They Said The mechanics were Impressed How Well the frame was and that they would spray the coating on the frame. I got the truck back . When I used the turn signals the relay cycled fast which means one of the lights is not working. When Checking They forgot to hook Up One of the wire harnesses . Also I checked and saw they scratched the cab of the truck when they reinstalled the bed of the truck which they removed to spray the coating on the frame. 2 years later the coating started pealing off and rust was on the frame which was not on the frame before they applied the coating. That was Proof they didn't clean the frame before applying the coating which sealed in any contamination that was on the frame before the coating. That Dealer Destroyed My Truck. Before Bringing The Truck To The Dealer The Frame Was Like New. I Should Never have Had That Recall Done. The Frame is All Rotted Now And Does NOT Pass State Safety Inspection.

I used the NVX sound deadening material and some poly-fill. NVX is Sonic Electonix's version of Dynamat. There's Kicker specific speakers with the correct mounting tabs for the Jeep sound bar which is what I have and the magnet is much bigger than the Kickers you have. I also have an external 4 channel Kenwood amp pushing 50 watts RMS driving my sound bar and front components, also Kickers. The problem I have is the dome light lens rattles with lower frequencies coming through the rear channel. It might change once I get around to connecting my subwoofer and tweaking the crossover settings.
@torque4053 ай бұрын
@@jeepinintexas6215 i seen the jeep speakers but didn’t want to pay what they wanted for them at the time and I know kicker makes good speakers anyway so opted for ones that fit good enough and ones in the front. I only have a self powered kicker hideaway in the back, probably going to change that it’s not enough, but yes, the dome light cover gets very annoying. Thinking about putting some kind of seal around it to keep it from vibrating plastic against plastic

All the hand to hand prepping we did every fall when we were just a little younger was cosmetic compared to what I have learned over the last couple years. Rusting from the inside out. Now one of the shows can't remember Washington State or Minnesota the Gentleman Mentioned that there was a Recall for frame repairs. Sequoia, and Maybe Tundra and Tacoma. No 4Runner Dealer said that there's to many. I think that's what I heard... Mostly I am on late at Night Focused on the 2000 4Runner. Water pump 2 + Years ago was Re-Educating... I would measure also from the frame to the ground just behind the front wheels with the car flat on the ground or on a drive on lift. Could possibly be how the body is mounted or like another said, the load on the springs could be different.
@torque4054 ай бұрын
@@RobertMoore-s9q I wish we had a drive on lift . Yea I measured all 4 corners of frame by the wheels between the door sections . I think it’s mostly these have so much variation from car to car way they were built I think they were around the last of the actual hand built cars ever made. Then some time in it’s past it’s had modifications done to the body possible it was taken off and the front clip was replaced with a custom aftermarket one and things were just not adjusted completely
