Gorgeous piece! I am about to try something similar for my daughter’s room. If I wanted to stain the top a different color, would I stain that and then add the polyurethane satin finish to the whole dresser? Or would you apply a different finish to the top compared to the rest of the painted dresser?

How long will i need to wait to use my chalk painted dresser with the polyurethane sealer? I will need to move it and don't want to mess it up. I read the wax takes up to a month

Does this require a post paint laquer?
@ARayofSunlight4 күн бұрын
Nope! This paint already has a built in topcoat and does not need an additional topcoat or paint lacquer. In fact, you should not add any type of topcoat to it. Once it is fully cured it will be super durable as is! 😃

I would love your ideas/opinion on how to apply glaze or wax on just such a project but that has lots and lots of detail in the furniture. I have a shabby table with loads of carved detail.
@ARayofSunlight4 күн бұрын
Great question! I would probably still follow the same method as in this video and use a rag to get into the details as best you can. It will be more tedious and time consuming, but I think it might still be the best way to do it. If the details are too small and intricate you could try using a very small detail paint brush for those areas. If only you could spray wax or glaze in a sprayer then that would be amazing and so much easier! 😜

Would the wax not get on your clothes?
@ARayofSunlight5 күн бұрын
It will only get paint on you if you move all over while sitting down and rub yourself against the paint a lot. Haha

You may want to try matt colors, they usually hide the errors the best, and a finisher of Amazing vid ... Only way to improve is with a sanded part too

Hi, I love the green color that you used on the second piece of furniture. The lighter green. Can you tell me what brand and color name was?
@ARayofSunlight5 күн бұрын
It's also in dark green, but it looked lighter because it's the first coat of paint. You can find the full detail in this blog post: arayofsunlight.com/dark-green-chalk-painted-dresser/

U should have sanded and cleaned the table they all look like shit!! The main thing you did wrong is anyone that is interested in the best wood paint would have sanded the table especially a table with that much damage i mean u said nobody said before they spray paint!? What? U mean when kids are in kindergarten class or something? I don't know what you r talking about i don't know anyone that gets tables out of the trash that r beat to hell and just spray paint them even poor people don't do that because they don't waste their money buying paint so this makes zero sense! I guess u really thought this all the way through genius!!

Can I do this to my bed 😊❤
@ARayofSunlight12 күн бұрын
I don’t see why you couldn’t! But I would recommend sanding or priming your bed first, just to make sure your paint holds up better and is more durable for a longer period of time! Best of luck on your project!
