This is the most realistic portrayal of of DIY as a newbie. I really appreciate the honesty and imperfections of the final result, because let's face it, that's how it is for most of us doing DIY 🥲.

I have an uneven spot on the wall behind one of the battens so the top board has to sit out a tiny bit. You can always shim to hide the gap at the end

Great vid, I'm actually training for my first marathon myself and i suggest skipping track workouts for just places around where you live, it just goes by faster

Looking at your measurements your spacer is 8''3/32 not 8''3/8 that is why the end panel is 1''1/8 shorter than the others but great job looks good

I prefer the mistake to that flat flushed look! ❤ - that 1/2 inch top batten I believe it was.

Thanks for sharing, i just encountered the large gaps between the top board and vertical boards so now i am searching on you tube to help fix this.

The reason you didn’t have enough battens is the calculator was counting the number of panels (spaces between the battens) - that’s 5. It calls the battens “stiles” and that’s what you needed 6 of. Don’t ask me how I know this or if I’ve made the same mistake 😬

Maybe the black purse is a fanny pac not a cross body purse. I like the way you put everything on the counter instead of having to dig around in the Temu bag! 👍🏻 First time watching your video is fun! 👍🏻😂

Oh my gosh - I am so glad I'm not the only one going into Home Depot or Lowe's with a solid plan and then start second guessing myself once I'm there. And then to leave that store with nothing! I truly felt like I was watching myself <3. I LOVE how your wall turned out - beautiful job!!!

That really seemed like a great day. I’m actually painting my studio today. It was a guest room a while ago and it’s SSSOOO boring. Time for a face lift! Hope you got all of your editing done. I’m jealous you can handle that at the end of a long day. My brain is like “Uh, no” after 7:00.

@@MalloryPagnotta3 Oh - Em - Gee, Mal… I’m redoing it top to bottom. New paint, new rugs, bought new shaker bottles (so I can have 1 color rather than 16 colors!)… you name it - I’m doing it. I’m actually getting ready to start a channel. I am literally TERRIFIED - which is why I’m in interior design mode… it’s helping to calm my nerves! And your room looks so cute already. I love that you did your logo waves on your wall. You should totally rock that room for a little while. 🤗

I bought the white vase in small and large when Temu first came out...i paid $1aus and $2 aus for them. Also had heaps of beautiful clothing ...i just sized up be 1 and they fit perfectly
