i interest about this, i create mesh insaide blender and just using 1 texture atlas for all of my enviroment mesh rn because of it decrease drawcall, but having flexible texture can be great also

How much quality is lost from CC4 to Unreal5? Does the Metahuman end up, with higher detail in a lower poly LOD?

@@jslade0 i think that depends on you. You can make the models low poly if I'm not mistaken or keep them the same. You can even hide unwanted faces to reduce poly count.

I'm a bit mixed on the headset to be honest. I just upgraded to it from my old Samsung Odyssey+ due to Microsoft killing WMR. I'll be honest, it really doesn't feel like much of an upgrade. Clarity is still pretty poor with god rays on anything not in direct line of sight, white text has very obvious chromatic aberration from the sub pixel layout (where you see green or red shadows on the top and bottom), and the motion blur is definitely worse than my old headset. Honestly even the chromatic aberration is. Personally I just don't think it looks very clear with the mura being extremely obvious. It doesn't look any more subtle than it already was on that older headset. That's really surprising as the PSVR2 has nearly double the resolution. And I had kinda dismissed people's complaints of motion blur as I've never seen it with my old headset, but it's very obvious with the PSVR2. The only other problem I've had with it is the haptics feel like nothing at all. I mainly use my headset for Beat Saber and my old controllers really sold it when you hit something. It really helped me tell when I missed my swing. With this thing I can barely tell as it doesn't give the hit to it, it feels more like thud. Think the feeling of being hit with something lightly vs something shaking in your hand. The things I will give it are that colors are far better than my old headset (though still not remotely close to most monitors), controller tracking is far better, the passthrough is actually 3D (though still black and white), and it has touch sensitive buttons.

Thanks for the informative video. I'm actually now considering buying one for PCVR, since I have a decent PC to run VR. I don't own a PS5 yet and might get one in the near future. I already own a Meta Q3 though! But tried multiple Q3 headsets and found that they differ in brightness, blooming effect and glare, although Pancake lenses have much fewer glare and blooming compared to Fresnel lenses.. The lack of brightness kinda kill the immersion for me! How much of a resolution downgrade is PSVR2 compared to the Q3? Also what about Glare/Blooming? As well as Mura, were these effects an immersion breaker for you?

I haven't got the PSVR but from what I have seen it is more blurry, which make it look lower res god rays, controllers needs BT USB fob on a USB extension so it's close up, some sim racers said that it smears graphics when there is motion on the plus side is very good FOV...Now that the Quest 3 512GB is £469, Meta should make an Ultra version with QLED local dimming & Thunder Bolt 4 (4x bandwidth of USB3.2) since USB-C uses a Thunder Bolt port

PSVR2 is 400 euro now on sale, but quest 3 still 540 euro which i think it too much if PSVR2 is 400 euros.. i think that i will buy neither after all.. i don't want a blurry mess and too small of a sweet spot of the PSVR2. it is already a risk if i can even handle VR as i already have eye issues with flatscreen
