It still seems strange to me hearing these trains referred to as the oldest in regular use on the system. I can remember them being brand new in the 70's, on the Northern Line, and of course operating alongside the 1959 and 1938 Stock. Even the original Victoria Line trains, which last ran in 2009, were slightly older! One class of tube train which didn't get much chance to make an impact timewise was the 19i83 Stock, which replaced tbese on the Jubilee Line, allowing these 1972 units to move elsewhere, which barely lasted 15 years!!

The 223 bus route was an UXBRIDGE route. The best route to drive at Uxbridge LT Garage during the 1980s. Ruislip station to Heathrow Central ❤️

Customs House is not the best station, it seems they literally built the new bit next to the old one and forgot to offer any shelter. The Elizabeth line platforms are not much fun in wet weather it seems to have been afterthought.
