That's nice to get free stuff. With my wife, we are pregnant and the due date was yesterday, still waiting haha. Anyway, we live in Japan at the moment (planning to go to the NL) and our city provides 50000 yen (300 euro) of credit to use from a catalogue. It's nice and no peanut-butter-bomb kinda surprise. What's weird is that the city provide that which means living 2 train stations away and it's a different support if any. I wonder if it's all health insurance that provides the boxes?

The baby will be born in the Netherlands. In that case, the baby will receive a Dutch passport, and as a result, the mother will too, I believe. So, are you actually applying for dual citizenship?
@CherylJesse2 ай бұрын
nope that won't happen. We're canadian with Canadian passports and baby will get a Canadian passport

@@DamaxThomas yes I will be filming a pregnancy Q&A in a few weeks’ time where I will talk about my experience & knowledge gained as a pregnant person in the Netherlands so far. And maybe I should do a collab video too with Cheryl hehe? 🥰😀
@DamaxThomas2 ай бұрын
@@LeesaYu a collab would be awesome 🤩 With my wife, we pregnante too. The due date was yesterday, still waiting. Anyway, I'm French and we are in Japan. When I was talking to friends in France, I see there's a clear difference in number of clinic visit and ultrasound scan done. In France the ultrasound is 3 in total, in Japan it's every time which means the first 3 months equal 3 scans. And the last 3 weeks, it's also 3 scans as we go every week. Is the follow in the clinic or midwife that frequent with ultrasound every time?

As authentic as Chinese food is in Richmond, I wouldn't call it the real Chinatown of Vancouver. It does not have the rich history or cultural importance as the REAL Chinatown in Vancouver. You are also doing a disservice to the original Chinese immigrants that created this community in the late 1800's.
@wnose26 күн бұрын
Unfortunately the old Chinatown in Vancouver is slowly dying. You're far more likely to find a new skate shop, head shop or cafe opening than a Chinatown business. Why? Because the Chinese have moved away. The crime in the area does not help. 10 years from now, it'll look totally different then what do you call Chinatown without Chinese people?

I think that just means you can't be using your apartment for commercial purposes. But that doesn't mean you can't run a business from it.

I used to go to Aberdeen alot. My fave places have gone downhill lately. Leung Kee had great soups and noodles but the beef in the noodle dish has way too much msg that many pieces are just mush. I still like the wings you guys had. They are great. There was actually a Vera's burgers there but, as you can imagine. it didn't do well.

Carbonara is not difficult to make, I make it all the time at home. Once you understand the technique, it's super simple and you can make it at home in less than 20 min, you just need the right ingredients, and you have to take the pan off the fire when pouring in your egg and cheese mixture, then add a bit of the pasta water and mix it together until it becomes creamy, don't add the egg and cheese mixture while having the flame on or it will become scrambled.. And always save a cup of the pasta water

Great tips. Would you know how much the Dutch care about what job stability someone has when buying a home? I would have enough to pay monthly fees and for other fees since a down payment isn't required but overall how much does what job you have affect getting approved? I might be studying at Uni and looking for work locally. Unless remote working for a US company is acceptable?
@CherylJesse6 ай бұрын
It definitely impacts how much mortgage you can get approved for. If you have a perminant contract, you can get approved for more. Each mortgage company/bank accepts different things, so I'd recommend reaching out to a mortgage specialist to determine your specific scenario

Great Great video, I do have two questions. Please if someone knows anything I'd appreciate it. 1. I know there are minimum hours that you need to fulfill as a business owner or a freelance - and this is 1225 hours per year. So if you are registered at KOR, do you still need to make this many hours or can it be less? 2. If you are registered at KOR, and you don't have to pay taxes, as a small business owner, your income would be 1600e which is less than the minimum wage. I guess it is fine if you have an additional job on the side?
