This was the year I got my first set of bagpipes in December of 2018.

As much as I like Michael Jerome's drumming I love the economy that Mattacks is using here. Zak is like a chip of the very old block. Nice solo by Taras. I would have preferred to have seen this gig than the one at the RAH.

Brilliant song. So descriptive, it’s cinematic in its scope. Great recording. At the show in NYC, Town Hall staff were cracking down on video recording 😢

It's 10 years since I last saw Wizz perform and it's fantastic to see he's still sounding great at 85 years old!

If memory serves this is a John Martyn song, but this live version is - after so many years - astonishingly faithful to the classic take on Songs For A Gentleman. More power to you, Bridget. I was back in Downderry (Cornwall) last week for the first time in decades, and I can't even read the name without your songs flooding into my head, making me young again.....

No, it's Bridget's song, of course. I was thinking of Back To Stay....

Goosebumps hearing RT bring life to one of Sandy Denny's most epic (and sadly still timely) songs - stellar delivery with RT's vocal nearly equally his playing. Michel Doucet's fiery playing is a surprise - what verve! #OutOfTheBayou

"Al Bowly" was written by Richard; I presume you're referring to "who knows where the time goes"?. (A song that I've never quite warmed up to).

Muddled sound maybe.... but I've been waiting almost 40 years to see RT's version of this song performed - thrilling!
@Pierre-de-Standing20 күн бұрын
I wasn't impressed by the sound. The engineer seemed to be asleep at the desk the number of times he didn't get a mic switched on. Ralph McTell sang the first part of his first song through the monitors. John Etheridge was a real highlight of the concert. So glad they did this song. RIP Sandy.

I dare any other rock n roller in his or her 70's to try to come up to this level of vocal performance. John Fogerty still sings pretty good for his age, but John Hiatt (longtime favorite of ny wife and I) has lost most of his voice. Richard, however, has aged better than any fine wine could ever hope to ---- perhaps partly because he abstains?
@martyhopkirk68262 ай бұрын
@@goodun2974I’ve seen Roger Daltrey live a couple of times over the last few years. Considering he’s 80, his voice is pretty much miraculous. I agree about RT being fab too, though: I was at this gig, and he was fantastic throughout.
