Die Jungs und Mädels dürften noch Kinder gewesen sein als ich 2003 in Schleching im Urlaub war und da das Preisplatteln war. Ich hoffe, dass die Tradition in Bayern noch lange erhalten bleibt, während sie bei den Trachtenvereinen außerhalb Bayerns z.B. in NRW vor die Hunde geht. Vielleicht schaffe ich es ja auch mal wieder zum Urlaub in den Süden.

Turn Spotting is a technique that is often used when executing turns, in which a performer executes a periodic, rapid rotation of the head that serves to fix the performer's gaze on a single spot, thus giving the impression that the head is always facing forward. Spotting prevents dizziness by allowing the head to remain stable during most of the turn. @@user-ly5zn2cn5h Except that in the video the woman is not spotting. I have no idea why she didn't tumble over on her final "finish" where her partner was not there to receive her. Quite amazing really.

I believe it’s Schuhplattler. But I’m Chinese and don’t know much about German culture. I’d gladly be corrected if I’m wrong.

@@hc1897yea your right its schuhplattler in german/ bavarian, but also in english, its a tradition we keep here in upper bavaria and in autstria, but in austria its not that strictly with form and timing of the claps as here in bavaria
