Please make a video on the difference between a production built home versus custom as well as the difference with models and spec homes. So many homeowners are not aware that Model and Spec homes are sold "as is." They are quick to turn around and threaten with lawyers but they signed a contract which states As Is.

Wow I didn’t know this was possible. I bought a brand new home with septic system issues in the builder refuses to repair it Because my realtor told me to waive the new home inspection and I did.

What if the 3rd party warranty company switched leadership or owners and now is saying that they have limited liability due to the switch? Is this a legal progress?

Hi Dana, I have not ever ran into that. I’m not an attorney, but it seems to me like they would still have to uphold the terms and conditions of the warranty that they provided, irregardless of who is management or if it was bought out. Are you in a state with attorneys involved in the closing?

@@Danakai1 we have a rep with our warranty company, so perhaps your agent can reach out to their rep and see what they can do. Next, I would consider asking the attorney that handled your side of the closing what options you have and if the warranty company can change the terms, after the fact. Again, not an attorney, but it seems like all of the original terms would still be in effect, unless they had some kind of “out” worked into their agreement.
