Thank you very much for such a detailed comparison. One question though: It was no mentioned that the system has a very low recording volume. How do you deal with this, especially with external lavs?

Hi Andrej, I haven't noticed this as a problem. I am not sure which were my exact gain settings on the transmitters, but I remember I never needed to put the gain all the way up to get desired volume on the receivers. On the other it is also true, that I places lavs relatively close to the head, so the difference was probably not as obvious as if they were placed further away.

Thank you so much! Finally, someone did a great job on testing these mics in behind the body situations. In this video DJI Mic started interrupting just from the start, maybe it was fine before 20m, but we didn't see. In my experience, I have troubles with DJI Mic even in 2-3 meters when people are in the way. Hollyland Mark showed much better (in this video) and I believe in my scenarios it would sound perfect. This video made me think to upgrade to it. Overall, the sound of all these mic systems is good, and the differences are not that important as it will go to post-processing anyway.

Thanks for the great comparison. The German company is called Sennheiser. Makes it easier to be found by the KZbin algorithm... 🙂

Can u adjust the output level of the receiver? not only the gain for the mic in transmitter. sorry bad english

Yes, for Hollyland Lark Max you have both control mic gain and receiver output signal gain, and this is also the case in DJI Mic. It is also useful if you have a receiver gain a bit more than a microphone, so in I case I had signal in camera peaking (even if in the camera it looked ok), but on the mic I had better quality and on lower volume)

Sounds like the sound quality is better on Hollyland.

*It is actually. I did a comparison between my Rode Wireless and The Lark M1's and they sounded way better then the Rode*
