I respectfully disagree, the 2nd gen explorer are built to last more then 300k miles and we're pretty great utility vehicles.

@@TheRedskins1111 Hell no, I took mines for an apprasial, they offered 7500$ for it. These SUVs are worth way more than that... Depends on mileage and condition.

There decently reliable, Only issues with these engines is the spark plugs, they blow off into the aluminum heads ,the threads will strip and there very fragile to. There not very expensive but the labor time it takes will rack up the bill, also there a little hard to work on when changing them because they break easily... Also they weld themselves to the cylinder head and break into pieces when someone tries to unscrew them, leaving the bottom of the plug stuck inside the cylinder head... But other than that very reliable, and one thing to clarify to, change all 8 of them instead of 2 or 3 at a time it will be expensive to repair.

@@maryatef2717 There not bad vehicles, I actually highly recommend them if you maintain them properly and well... They won't last you if you don't take care them, interior and exterior and mechanically. They aren't troublesome trucks, some people just don't take care of them, I had no issues with mines so far.
