They bite, but it it just a tiny sting. I've kept a flightless one alive for the past 5 days with spinach, water, honey, raisins, and jam. It seems to want to stay on my hands when I hold it. When it seems like it is still, it is really chewing on my skin. It is such a tiny sting that you have to pay attention to feel it.

It looked like a Asian Lady Beetle, which is related to a ladybug. There is a difference between a lady beetle and a regular ladybug. A ladybug is more redder and it has only two white spots on its head, and they are usually friendly towards people and plants/crops. A lady beetle on the other hand, has a "m" shaped spot on its head and usually have more spots. It can also be invasive in a house, and can be aggressive and so they bite people and dogs.
