Kudos for the video mate....! Just a little piece of advice...Paint each piece individually, separately, before even detaching them from the sprue..!! If you want some straight lines use masking tape and either spray paint or those small aerosol kits from either Revell or Tamiya..... For instance painting the deck first before attaching the cannons would help you not only to paint it properly but to add details and avoid messing up certain parts of the ship with the wrong set of colours....! Nevertheless great job!! Cheers!!

That gloss varnish looks bad, was it oil based? those leave this bad, grainy finishes, like if there was dust in it. I only use water based revell varnish, they are easy to handle and leave a perfect mirror clean finish

Looks amazing d00d! Great job! love the optics and magnets, very creative! I'm just about to start mine! :) no optics or magnets unfortunately tho! Would you mind sending me a link to the music (the guitar track in the middle), I know you have added text to the final parts of the video but I can't find it anywhere! thanks in advance :)

modelling knife, modelling clippers, soldering iron, wire strippers, soldering helping hands, small hand file, micro hand drill(if you don't already have a drill). if you want a good paint job then get an Air Brush Kit(i didn't have one by the time I made this vid) oh and use SMD LEDs if you can, I use the normal type(because I have too many and wanted to get rid of them) with fibreoptics and that took up a lot of time.

I just got this model without realizing I need to paint this; would you recommending building before painting or painting the pieces before building?
@guywith1name
@guywith1name 3 жыл бұрын
The model is made of modules that can be changed depending on what pose its in. You can paint before you build if you like, just avoid paint going into joints on parts so that they don't get stiff and snap. I recommend building the modules first and then paint them just so you know where the joints are.

Silly question:does it float?
@panzerkampfwagen-vi1313
@panzerkampfwagen-vi1313 4 жыл бұрын
It might, if the hull is watertight (its molded plastic so it is) and if it is in balance yes! But the less mass the less likely it will stay upright
@tombroszz
@tombroszz 4 жыл бұрын
@@panzerkampfwagen-vi1313 already did it..it didnt float.i tried to seal it with multiple layers of glue but iys too light to stay on balance.
@panzerkampfwagen-vi1313
@panzerkampfwagen-vi1313 4 жыл бұрын
@@tombroszz try using weight in the middle a fishing lead would be perfect to balance it make sure to put it as low as possible!!! Top heavy will force the light part under water which will make it topple! Also dont try to disemble a ship to pud lead in it aint worth it.

What yellow paint did you use? I'm using Valejo for the hull and I'm struggling with poor covering of this paint. I have to put like a million layers to get nice and even color. Anyway, great job with that model. It's beautiful.
@guywith1name
@guywith1name 5 жыл бұрын
I'm using Citadel paints. you might want to see if Valejo has a primer paint and use it as a base coat, it sounds like your layers are not sticking to your model properly. also, thanks.

Enjoyed watching your build! I'm working on mine right now. One suggestion I'd make for the future: use airbrushing as opposed to paint brushing every chance you get. Cut parts off, fix them up, spray them, and then glue them - do not paint things when they have already been glued - you will only complicate your life. :)
