It seems like a good install video but did you get weather stripping with the kit? It's my understanding that the intake should be separated from the hot air under the hood for best performance. I'll have to figure that out myself I guess

@@kennys3985 that’s everything that it came with . Many of these “cold air intakes” are actually hot air units. Unfortunately I don’t have a Dyno to test it myself and do back to back comparisons with gaskets or even foil/heat barrier tape to see if it makes any real world gains

Lol I loved the durango but towing was always a bit sketchy since I was technically overweight and we couldn’t kit the kids and the stuff easily enough. The Silverado handles it with ease

When unloaded if the bags are pumped up it does lift the rear slightly and definitely makes it feel more stiff, but air down the bags to 5psi or so just so they aren’t flopping around inside the spring and it’s back to stock

Other than some reasons why the suv doesn’t fulfill our needs as a family vehicle anymore it’s been great to us, but for something so simple to be so expensive and unable to be serviced is just ridiculous to me and so many manufacturers are moving to this approach. I hate it.

Had suburbans and loved them, had a trailblazer ss too but that was a love hate relationship due to it being neglected prior to purchase and ultimately being a money pit during my ownership with it

Sucks ..had mine replaced once after I first got it… I leave the lower 10mm out and it’s still getting water inside. There’s a couple places it seems to get in and even those who sealed it up .. eventually most of them had issues couple years later. 😩😩🤬

Maybe a minimal gain in mileage. I’d love to say it increased power but without a Dyno I’d be lying to you if I said yes . From what I remember from track day last year it was marginally faster than what dodge claims e.t. And mph wise

We have 45k on the Durango now, we still love the exhaust tone, the truck overall has been good, we just started to get moisture in the race track light which is a big let down. And due to some family needs I’m considering trading the truck in for a Tahoe or suburban like I had in the past but otherwise it’s been great

@@wavesonswim8128 I had no complaints with the Durango . It was a solid unit while we had it but we needed more room and capability that the Durango couldn’t offer . It was a huge leap going 5 years older and double the mileage which is typically opposite from what normal people do but so far the truck has been good. Gets better mileage than the Durango, hauls more, and has more room. It’s needed a thermostat and I had an injector clog up but it’s under warranty for quite a while, totally prepared for the impending transmission/converter failure or dod /afm failure , it’s what makes a Chevy a Chevy 😋.

Nope. No exhaust cutout. It’s just louder than stock at all times and depending on the rpm/load the motor is under the tone and pitch change.

@@alanserwan19 a few companies do make “exhaust cutouts” that would go before a muffler that would give you the ability to go between a stock/aftermarket muffler and an “straight pipe or open” exhaust. Would it sound the same like this ? No. Would it probably way less expensive? Yes!

@@alanserwan19 a v6 will NEVER give that deep throaty rumble of a v8 . It’s a different kind of sound from a v6 I use the term loosely but it’s almost an exotic type of higher pitched noise/growl

The oil pan has a few extremely tiny pinholes from using a flux core welder on the thin sheet metal. Rather than go back over it and risk blowing more holes we just decided to seal it up.

Did it help? I have a 2020 R/T and I don't understand why it won't fit. The shocks auto level but there are still springs and it should fit. What is the width and height on those bags? I'm trying to piece a kit together to make it fit my R/T.

You’d have to search the part number for the bag kit, I don’t know it off hand to get the bag dimensions my thoughts are they say it isn’t compatible because it will interfere how the auto leveling shocks would work

I’m just seeing this comment now, sorry for the huge delay. I don’t have a step by step on the wiring but I will say the instructions provided from dodge for the harness was extremely easy to follow. I still have yet to actually hook up the brake controller but everything is there

I bought the draw tite max hitch. I dropped the tire, and had to drop the exhaust. Then I just trimmed my removable panel. Funny thing the same thing happened to me with I pulled the fascia off. I also broke that little plastic piece but on the passenger side, fixed it with the same JB weld. My 2017 has different sizes for the screws.

It’s practically drone free. You hear the exhaust but it doesn’t have the headache inducing drone and you don’t have to turn up the audio or yell to talk over it

Hell yeah brother! I was there, part of the Bits and Pieces crew. We were really bummed we weren't able to beat Chuck twice again this year. We had a fried magneto from our first run that we didn't catch and the car wouldn't start when we got to the line.
