Possible upside down sandwich explanaish: When a sandwhich is messy, it can be easier to pick up if you put it upside down. Top bun on the bottom. This lets you slide your fingers under the top, and grab the bottom with your thumbs. Much easier than getting thumbs under.

Great podcast as always! I am watching this on youtube and every ad I have is Usher in Vegas singing shirtless and dancing. It feels right to hear Joe and then without any pause, Usher. I hope Usher is paying for these ads!

People eat their sandwiches on a bun (burgers, sloppy joes, etc…) upside down, myself included, because we tend to pick them up with 4 fingers under the bun, which requires reaching your hands over the sandwich causing the sandwich to be upside down as you bring it towards your mouth. Picking the sandwich up with your thumbs under the buns is reaching under the bun (as opposed to over) with your hands, which ends up being a lot messier than going over the bun. And not many people pick it up upside down and turn it over to be right side which would cause another mess. I tried my best to wordsmith this the best I could to make sense but if a video demonstration needs to be sent it and explained I can put together a 2 minute video, happily I may add.

Growing up my parents just always served the sloppy upside down to keep the meat in. Apparently the school of thought is that the top bun is thicker so it will absorb the slop without getting overly soggy. Sour cream is an absolute game changer on a sloppy joe, I also throw on some spicy sweet pickles
