This video has helped me a lot… I’ve watched several on this subject, but they talk so fast you have to pause and go back and it’s just frustrating. Specially if you’re on the water. Thank you for explaining the small details. I’ve not watched you fish, but I will now…. New subscriber here! 😉👍

I have been finding huge schools in the creeks but they want sit still they are on the move
@NSFGuideАй бұрын
@@rodmaciva Sometimes you just have to chase them around, but that sounds like migratory behavior. If those creeks lead to deeper water (River channel) in a lake/reservoir there’s a good chance that’s where they’re headed as water temps cool. I’d check for baitfish in the deeper water and look for the nearest cover (brush pile, bridge piling, standing timber, etc.) in that area. Let me know when you find them! Tight-lines!🎣

This can help with 2-d sonar to right
@NSFGuideАй бұрын
@@Rdizil-ox1ye buoy markers are great tools for marking cover/structure found with 2D sonar. You would have to keep your transducer and bait directly above the structure to see the movement of your bait in “real-time” (it would actually display as historical data).

Great tip! Would also be helpful to show how users can hone in on the true direction of the target by moving the beam left/right and observing the strength of return/brightness of onscreen target image.

Good info Eric! I know I was ready to donate my livescope the first 40 or 60 hours I used it. It’s definitely not as easy as people think. Takes time and LOTS of practice to get good with it!
@NSFGuideАй бұрын
Definitely have to work at it. It looks easy on TV, but it’s often very different on the water. Thank you for watching!
@blogbybryanАй бұрын
Excellent video. These are things that took 6 months for me to learn. I set my distance at 30'-40' because it's hard to catch up further out and it's easy to cast beyond the beam. GREAT point.
@NSFGuideАй бұрын
I generally search with forward range set between 60-80’. Fishing range is 30-40’. Thank you for watching!

Take it 1 step further and show the cone angles, with the buoy, to explain why the jig brightness is best in the middle of the cone and width of the cone at 10' / 20' / 30' / 40' .Wish i would've thought of this instead of trying to explain with words how this works for the last 5 years. I will send the link of that video, if you make it,to folks asking how and why. Since most Garmin FFS settings videos are mostly chalkboards, cardboard and crayons and lies, if you have time please make a settings video so the myth of settings are like down view and side view, just set it and leave it are busted. I change my settings when conditions change, sometimes 10 times on a single trip. Thx
