Was it difficult to get that passenger side bolt out past the A/C lines? My lines look like they are in the bolt's path pretty bad.

@@MizeraAdventures thanks for that reply. Driver side was a piece of cake. I found that the AC line has a set of bends that were obviously placed by engineers to allow removal of the bolt. I did have to remove the bracket screw and push things around but I got it done with no assistant. Hardest part of the job was squeezing in the second thin washer.

Did you have any issues with the tire rubbing on the UCA? According to their website, a 285/70/17 on the TRD Pro Wheels may rub on the UCA unless you use spacers, or a wheel with more offset.

I believe most aftermarket mud flaps are much flatter than the OEM ones so you should get better clearance with just about any of them. Here’s an example: www.extremeterrain.com/4runner-mud-flaps-front-rear-textured-black-vz102699.html

Definitely seemed to move them closer to the body mount. I was rubbing worse after I got these but I still don’t think it was rubbing the body mount with my 285/70/17s. I believe it was just rubbing on my fender liner. Not positive tho since I swapped out my tires for smaller ones recently.

I have a one and a half year old male Black Alaskan Malamute and he is so much taller and has a very different coat. He is a pure breed. He is not fixed and will probably get fixed but I have considered breeding him first bc he is a true black and I would love to see his line carry on. The person I rescued him from lost the papers but I really don’t care. He is so beautiful and such a joy every day to work with and love. Can you give me any advice? I have always had very large breed dogs so I am no rookie but I would love to know more about what I can do to work him with me and how do I deal with the high level of wanting to play with every dog he sees? He talks like crazy and he does scare most dog owners except the owners that have large dogs too. He plays and loves to play and wants to be friends with all dogs not a good thing when it comes to small dogs. I won’t let him play with small dogs. Once he gets fixed he will be able to play with my sister two Great Pyrenees that I have trained for the past two and half years. He loves them so much but the hormones can be so distracting for him. Please let me know anything that can help him focus or just anything really. He is the smartest dog I have ever had and I would love to nurture that as much as possible. Thanks for your time. When you put the new bulbs in your dome lights how snug were they? Mine lit up when I replaced my old halogen bulbs with these, but they weren’t in there very snug. They moved around quite freely.
@MizeraAdventures
@MizeraAdventures 11 ай бұрын
In the video I believe I point this out but the metal tabs that hold the bulb in place can get bent away from the bulb. If you just bend that back it should help hold the bulb in better.

I just ordered a set for my 4th gen. It seems like with the spacer lift, since the coilover total length is increased, you're having too much droop that the UCA is slightly touching the coils. If you don't do a lot of steep climbing that lifts front wheels very often, not a big issue, but definitely something you may want to consider. Bilstein 5100 with coils only cost less than 1k.
@MizeraAdventures
@MizeraAdventures Жыл бұрын
Yeah I noticed that and it’s undoubtedly the reason why the OEM control arm ball joints got worn out so fast. Im planning on doing an old man emu shock and coil over setup. Unfortunately I’m not a paid KZbinr so it’ll happen when I eventually get the funds 😅. I also am getting new tires. Endless projects 😩

Are these adjustable or does it not matter for a 2 to 4 inch lift? My stock ones rub on the shock a little bit with my ball joints.
@guitarguy764
@guitarguy764 Жыл бұрын
These are not adjustable, they add caster by being positioned a little bit farther back, the remaining caster can be adjusted at the alignment shop, at 2" lift you probably don't need this, at 3" its pretty much needed unless you don't mind the steering to be a bit squirrely. I don't think you'll rub the shock if you install these, they probably add clearance there, however, they could contact the wheel if you don't have offset wheels. I'm running these UCAs with a 285/70R17 tire and a 17x9 wheel at -6 offset. No rub.

Something to try would be to create a distraction free environment to train in. If that works and they get better at listening you can introduce more distractions so they learn to focus on you even when there is lots going on.
