The law is perfect and good and reflects the holiness of G-d and His greatness, but the cry of G-d's heart from the beginning was for relationship to be restored and so Able offered a sacrifice, a Lamb, and was received. I know when we come to that place and finally grasp that love can only be received into open, empty hands, never earned, nor bought, nor sold, and that there is only one Source of everlasting love, then we find that we can stop striving -- we need Only.
