I'm afraid a bunch of different clown fish would be a disaster :( They are VERY aggressive to their own kind. You can get one or a pair.

@LushSaltyAquariums really? Cause we got the idea from a few tanks we've seen, including one at a lfs, that's at least a dozen together and it looks great and they all seem fine and it's much, much smaller than a 75.

Well it’s not the end of the world. Most reefers will tell you the tanks usually get it eventually. I have a three gallon tank and boy oh boy have I been fighting the good fight with the cyano. I usually just get my turkey baster out,put a new sponge in my hob to catch it,and get to work. Blow that crap off your xenia and rocks and everything. Blow-it off,suck it up. I have tweezers and I even roll it off the sand bead. Do a water change if it is time. It may not cure it but it will make everything look better and feel better. Others might chime in on reasons why.

Hey friend. The lights are the problem with your cyano bacteria (blue green algae) and it’s making your arowana nervous. Try dimming the light and cutting the food by a third for about two weeks and you’ll see the blue green algae begin to die. The arowana would probably be more comfortable with dimmer lights and turn down the bubbles a little bit at least until he gets about 12 inches. I love your selection of fish.
@Jonandshelbysfishroom2 ай бұрын
Hey Tabaraka! Thanks for the input. Why do you think the same light doesn't do this in the 75? I'll read the manual today to see if I can adjust the white light brightness. I know it has different options, but the ones I recall are totally different colors like red, blue, etc. (Who would want a red light in their tank?, lol) I'm also gonna install an air control valve today and I'll turn the bubbles down. I've always been a huge fan for surface agitation. Hopefully that helps, and I also hope when he's bigger he'll be okay with the lights and bubbles in the big tank! I mean there's so much more room in that tank he doesn't have to be near bubbles if he chooses.

@tabarakaquatics8067 that makes sense so he should be fine once he is big enough to move to the big tank. I'm gonna read the manual today to see if I can dim the white light and install a air flow valve on the bubbles. If the white light isn't dimmable I may have to consider the blue light you think? I can't fathom it's not dimmable tho...

@tabarakaquatics8067 that's a good idea! So I reduced the brightness and turned the bubbles down yesterday. Aro is already 100% active and swimming at top. You nailed it. So I read in the manual the brightness setting may not stay when you have it on a programmed mode but only when you manually trigger it. How's that make any sense for functionality? Lol. Anyhow, testing it today when it comes on. If it comes on full blast I'll make a cut out for the back like you suggested. I remember seeing ppl online a while back use a foil trick. Wrap the light and poke holes.

I'm running seachem tidal HOBs on them both. They work fine. The surface skimmer gets a bit clogged with that hard calcium stuff (whatever it's called) in sw and I have to clean it pretty good sometimes but besides that they work great. With the established sw tank I nuke the whole filter media with tap water when I clean it cause I was told of u have enough cycled lr that's enough to maintain ur cycle and it seems to hols true cause I've been doing it like that over a year with no issues.
