Why is Loctite 55 not available in the US? According to the data sheet the turns are much higher on plastic than on metal threads (which is the only type listed on the label).

Hi please suggest some good adhesive remover for cardboard boxes
@motionaustralia6 ай бұрын
Absolutely! It depends if you're trying to remove labels stuck on to the cardboard or adhesive packaging tape. If you're trying to remove packaging tape from cardboard without damaging it, you can use a hair dryer on low heat which will help break the bond of the tape. Any residue can be wiped off with a solvent based cleaner. There are products for removing labels but they may affect the cardboard. Heating methods may work too. Hopefully this helps!

This or 577 for brass fittings?
@motionaustralia11 ай бұрын
Hi @l337Rat, they can both be used on brass. It really depends on the application, cure times, service temperatures etc. Loctite 567 - Low disassembly strength thread sealant, recommended for use on coarse metal threads up to M80/R3" including Stainless Steel. Slow cure allows for readjustment of valves & fittings if required. Loctite 577 - Medium strength thread sealant with excellent chemical resistance suitable for all metals. Cures on active and inactive metals + locks connection against vibration-induced loosening. The 567 has a service temperature of up to 200°C, whereas the 577 goes up to 150°C only. Hope this helps. :)

If you have a O.0025 in clearance between the shaft and 6203 bearing race. The shaft will spin at 750 rpm, the bearing is a press fit into a housing. What Loctite would be suitable to tighten up the shaft to race fit? Also, how difficult will be the removal of the Loctite at the next bearing replacement? Thanks
@johngamal14111 ай бұрын
638 , removal by conventional methods like puller or by heating above working temp 250 degrees
@joad4711 ай бұрын
@@johngamal141 Thanks so much for your response.....I read up on 638 and that's what I was hoping for. Ordered me a bottle. One more little question, without using activator or primer, about how much time before it's set? The inner race does not shoulder up on the shaft, so there is some adjustment that may be needed once the bearing has found home.
@johngamal14111 ай бұрын
@@joad47 you are welcome, usually 638 does not need activator, but you should prepare the surface well regarding roughness use a very fine sand paper in squirel motion to take the most of the strength of loctite The initial curing time is 15 min and takes full strength in 24 hours and may give it a little bit more in cold temperatures like 2 days.

Does any of Versaflo TR600/800 filter offer a FFP3=N99 dust protection ? ( TR-6580E, TR-6310E, TR-6130E, TR-6110E, TR-6820E, TR-6710E. ) They all just only say "Particulate Filter" but what exactly is it: FFP1, FFP2=N95 or FFP3=N99/N100 ? Only FFP3=N99/N100 is suitable for heavy wood and rock/silica dust. So I need FFP3 particle dust filter cartridges for a TR-600.

*Don't 'fear' red loctite. It is not permanent like they make it sound.* We use it successfully on TINY screws in the Gun world, to hold on our sights, through heat cycling. Just use "red brake cleaner" and it softens red loctite up to where a firm pressure can remove any fastener within an hour or so of soaking.
