Hi thanks for the time spent, a query have you tried it in other millimeters 1.8 - 1.6 - 1.5 that improves and what is lost by lowering the thickness of the sponge?
@ThePongProfessor2 күн бұрын
I have not, the reason being that the thinner the sponge, the less absorbing qualities (i.e., more difficult to block high-powered loops). As I play an offensive blocking game, I am less interested in disruption (which you gain from thinner sponges). That being said, I really should test different thicknesses.

People praise the xu xin edition over the regular dynasty carbon, but what is the difference? Is it just myths? Are golden Viscaria that much better than a normal Viscaria? These are things you should investigate ThePongProfessor.
@ThePongProfessor3 күн бұрын
Sure. I can provide you the address where to send the regular vs XX edition of the Dynasty, as well as the regular and Golden Viscaria, and I will upload the feedback. Deal?
why don't you seal the handle part too , to protect the wood from palm sweat ?

I worry about the handle getting too slippery. And I have just never seen palm sweat as a big problem as it pertains to playing characteristics. .

I dont know if you have time anymore to reply or create more videos, but i would really love to see your opinions on the spinlord keiler and/or keiler 2 rubbers and compare it to the gipfelsturm and waran rubbers from spinlord. I recently met a girl from taiwan who im pretty sure used the keiler on her backhand, and she is so consistant and has a fast and consistant forehand which resulted in me being unable to win a single game off of her! She used DHS G888 in her FH btw, not sure of her blade. She even managed to beat a 2300 USATT rated female player who i wouldnt stand a single chance against, which i never imagined she would be able to beat! Seems like a very effective rubber and i will be trying it out soon, but i want to hear your thoughts since you specilize in short pips and are already familiar with the feeling and stroke for them. Your comparison between the keiler, gipfelsturm, and waran (perhaps some other popular rubbers from spinlord) would be very interesting.
@ThePongProfessorАй бұрын
Making the videos takes a ridiculous amount of time and the earnings from YT are grossly inadequate. And at present, I don't have time to maintain/justify a Patreon account. At present, I only make full video reviews if I feel like it. I have both Keiler and Keiler 2 (and all Spinlord rubbers). Controllable medium pip rubbers. Gipfelsturm is much more disruptive.

0:35 the tenergy 05 is very grippy but entirely non-tacky. 3:51 openers are spinnier with the tenergy 05 than with the dignics 09c because of the softer sponge. - tenergy 05 is bad for short game because of it's bounciness: "really good hand feeling is required". - interesting "conclusion" chapter.

Hi Pong Professor, could you help me choose my new rubbers and blade? I'm an intermediate level player, my playstyle is all-round but it includes chops with both forehand and backhand. I'm considering getting the Glayzer 09c on both sides with the Viscaria blade. Is that good for chop? Or should I get normal Glayzer and a defensive blade? Keep in mind that my playstyle is all-round so I also do topspin vs backspin on both sides and trying to learn topspin vs topspin. I'm also considering Dignics or Tenergy rubbers, I'm open to suggestions. Thank you.
@ThePongProfessorАй бұрын
Sorry for the late response. If you are an intermediate level player, I would suggest you to chose Glayzer 09c of the ones you are mentioning. And an allround type blade (e.g., Donic Allplay). Put your emphasis on good quality practice, making the most of your time. Always practice drills or play matches.

Hello. I depends on your style and skill level. Personally, I like Bluegrip C1 (extremely hard) or alternatively C2, but only use these if you are an advanced player. For more intermediate level players, I would recommend BlueStar A1.

How long does the effect of national haifu really last? How many time can you reboost before the sponge become mushy ?
@ThePongProfessor4 ай бұрын
I would say the boosting effect lasts 20-30 hours of active play for sure, and then fades as you moved towards the 50 hour mark. I only boost lightly myself as I generally prefer the harder feel. I can boost twice. Third time it feels mushy but it is still playable.
