I wish California would take down all the dams from rivers. We need the king salmon to make go up all the rivers and streams like decades ago. I remember years ago catch 25-40 lb king salmon. Now we catch 10-15 lb king salmon even keep the small salmon hatchery fish.

the Alaska Dept of Fish and Game subscribes to the idea that there is over escapement on our Kuskokwim River Salmon.The elders teach us that the salmon carcases feed the whole river system and the ocean.ADFG over harvesting of salmon has ruined the balance.I believe that if the river doesnt smell of rotting salmon thats bad.Our river is over harvested and ADFG doesnt seem to realise this.
