You need to let the knife do the work you push down hard on it that's a waist of the product u gotta let the knife do the work and let it gently slide and slice

Nakiri is my new favourite kitchen knife 👏👏👏👏👏

This video is so trash tbh, it's not the grain of the wood that gets continued visually on the blade. I guess it's supposed to mimic damascus steel. And the way she is holding the knife when cutting... call an ambulaaaance. And just how the carrot falls on the ground... cherry on top :D

was expecting comment like this lol .... btw what to expect from a scripted non professional college student actors. She probably did this video for $100 or less with overnight rehearsals.

Please do get a wood/plastic cutting board for that knife. You will kill the edge on any blade by cutting on hard surfaces like that plater.

Some of the comments are right, not sure I like the attitude but we all learn as we go. I did like your presentation, you were very precise on what you displayed and that says a lot. Now I want a knife like the one you showed off! Keep cooking and keep making videos!

A nakiri is a Japanese vegetable knife, you really don't use it on meat. Sorry.

Insult to injury .. cutting meat, on a ceramic platter, with a nikiri. God help us all.
@thiago.assumpcao2 жыл бұрын
Nakiri was designed for vegetables but it also cuts meat pretty well. Chinese Vegetable Cleaver has similar blade profile and they use it for meat. I think its more a tradition issue than a functionality limitation. Cutting on ceramic plate on the other hand, big nope.
