There are many cars from your list must be avoidable SUVs for seniors. Don't buy any korean cars, hybrid, and cars with CVT, robots. In addition, be careful with small turbo engines... there are so many recalls, and it doesn't last long. If I car for my grandpa, I would buy any Honda Pilot or Passport with naturally aspirated engines, but not CRV with 1.5 turbo garbage engine (so many issues with this one). I didn't drive Subaru; however, my friend is driving his Outback more than 10 years without any significant issues. Regarding Korean cars, I have two friends got rid off their cars within one year due to engine's problems. Hybrid cars are good for people who are driving non-stop like taxi drivers, young professionals, etc , but definitely not for seniors. Hybrid cars are very expensive to maintain, terrible with acceleration, the main battery after 5-7 years must be replaced and it costs a lot of money. I had myself Toyota Camry Hybrid for 6 years, and was happy to trade it to new Acura MDX with 3.5 V6 engine (i am driving it for 7 years and no issues so far at all).

Just because a car manufacturer was in business before WW 2, and not one of the big 3, doesn't mean they are all the WORST cars ever made, in fact, they are all amongst the best cars made. Cheaply built cars by any one of the big 3 are all that survive only because of stupid consumers that only wanted to save a nickel and put quality on the back burner, so all that's left is garbage

Most of the cars you are denoting were built by independent automakers as opposed to the BIG 3. The bullet nose Studebaker was a 1950 & '51 restyle of the 1947 model which won the '47 styling award for most advanced and modern design. Though prone to rust, if you took care of your Studebaker it would take care of you. Most of your information is inaccurate and if you studied the true history of each one of these vehicles you would find that they were very popular and sold well to the targeted consumer. Yes, there was a time the auto manufacturers gave the public what they wanted. A little more chrome and possibly a faster engine could turn an economical bare bones reliable vehicle into a sparkling cruiser. When the rocket age horsepower race went into effect the independents couldn't afford to keep up.
