arab socialism died with the original founders of Ba'athism. its corpse was paraded around by the likes of Saddam and Hafez, all so they could continue being autocrats. socialism is not ending, and it is very clear that people today are getting angrier and angrier. who knows though, to me it seems like we're all on a fast track to fascism. let us hope socialism rises once again, properly this time.

Come socialista italiano, sono rattristato dal rifiuto del secolarismo e del socialismo da parte della società araba. L’unica via per la salvezza della società araba può passare attraverso il socialismo arabo. Perché è impossibile raggiungere questo obiettivo con regole religiose radicali in una struttura multiculturale. Spero che un giorno il popolo arabo possa diventare tutt’uno con il socialismo arabo. Saddam was an idiot, it’s a shame what he did to Iraq in both Gulf Wars. You should read what his Generals had to say about his detachment from reality and incompetence in military matters. Sad that he was the leader during that time, if someone more competent and reasonable came to head then we could have still had a Pan Arabist government in the Middle East instead of Islamist’s 🤦‍♂️

Syria was (and always will be) an example of resistance to the Anglo-Saxon axis of evil, an example that resistance to imperialism is possible. The Lion of Damascus fought fiercely and bravely, but finally after 13 years of war his enemies defeated him - the US "warned" Assad in the early 2000s that if he did not become their obedient puppet he would "regret it", and soon after began to destroy Syria from within, mainly with the help of Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
