The $3, 5 minute solution: self service car wash, no soap required.
@TeslaDiyMan8 күн бұрын
yep .... depends ... car wash does not clean wheels to my standards. 😆
@xeler8r8 күн бұрын
Awesome vid! But did it really solve it? You cleaned the wheels really nicely - but in a week, won't the dust be back? Genuine question. Mine are orange AF.
@TeslaDiyMan8 күн бұрын
Ceramic will repel the brake dust for about 1-2 years (depends how much you wash), if not repel then atleast it does not allow to stick to the wheel. Then it will again start sticking when ceramic coating layer will be lost. Then redo !!! :) ... new video ... haha
@newguy6910 күн бұрын
there doesn't seem to be a lag when the wheels start turning, thus the computer responds quickly, it's just the wheels take time to adjust to the final position. Question is, would you be able to turn that fast with mechanical steering, anyway? I don't think 'lag' is the correct term to describe this, and believe me, I'm super sensitive to lag, like wireless headphones drive me crazy.

Have you looked into any way to waterproof your cyber truck bed vault? I would love to keep a piece of carpet back there but so much water gets in from rain. Any ideas?
@TeslaDiyMan10 күн бұрын
I did not face any significant problem so far, but yes if I pour water really hard then some drops do drip inside, I will probably check out when I am touching that area for a rear camera install. Work in progress to do research for rear camera.

I’m going to try PPF from gswf. Do you think 60” x 54’ would be enough for a full wrap or should I get 2x rolls ?
@TeslaDiyMan11 күн бұрын
I think you can do it. If you ensure to take some cuts properly. One place where I saved was the roof triangular piece, I put a join on top most angle and its not visible at all.
@mymelt177017 күн бұрын
They work good gang BUT, better inventory the parts prior to starting. I had one round spacer over, one 13mm bolt and 8 flat washers short. Also note, the mounting bracket behind the front wheel is right over the front JACK POINT so it would suffer damage from the jack. I need to made an adapter to protect the bracket or the running board would have to be dropped before even changing a front tire🫣
@TeslaDiyMan16 күн бұрын
That is correct, I discovered that too, I think we need to remove the front bracket only incase you need to jack your truck. I will be doing that in upcoming few days and see how this goes.

are these PPF pieces pre cut for each panel?
@TeslaDiyManАй бұрын
no this was a bulk roll, I cut them myself. Honestly that is NOT the hard part. You measure the width of panel. (height is same 5 ft roll) ... then once you cut you have a rectangular/square piece. Hang it on car/truck with magnets and do a rough free hand cut ... leaving extra 1-2 inches on each side ... after sticking it then you do little more precision cuts

You did not mention the Tesla One App to set the Universal Charger up? Did you experience any problems with the commissioning?
@TeslaDiyManАй бұрын
I did not do anything on the app, I just turn on the breaker and hooked in directly. As you see in the video. I did add product in the Tesla app later in the night to get some additional charge statistics etc. No commissioning nothing. If that related to power share, no I did not go for the powershare, I consumed 2500 $ vouchers on Tesla stuff.
@MrGeoffMorganАй бұрын
@@TeslaDiyMan So would I correct in think it was not the universal charger? Mine needed commissioning by a certified electrician and installation photographs Yes I have gone for the Powershare install also - but to be honest its not doing what it is supposed to YET..... Tesla Powershare Tech support Sucks = BIG time
@TeslaDiyManАй бұрын
@@MrGeoffMorgan It is Universal Wall Connector. Not the Normal Wall Connector. Yes I do not have power share , I just paid those extra $$$ since in any case I had to burn those 2500 vouchers ... I guess since you are trying to work along with PowerShare you need that commissioning thing. For me no registration, no commissioning , no activation, no phone calls, just installed, screwed, switch on and BINGO !!! BTW I know there are 2 types of wall connectors, I have the other one for Model Y in other garage (non universal one) .. for CT its the Universal boy !!! But you are right these are tracked somehow, the moment I turned it ON, I got email your quote is updated (powershare + Universal wall connector installation). May be its coincidence
