I'm an overlord storm. I use the myth convert strat with shift ogre, myth banshee, bloodbat, shatter etc with a 14 myth accuracy jewel and pierce enchants for scions or sulka and a triple ward pet to fire myth and ice.

Thanks for bringing that specific video to light, (though I have no ill will or negative intention towards FQ) the specific video in question made quite a few mistakes, out of context data, incorrect data, and certain things that made 0 sense. P2W being a focal point of their reasoning was the first problem. P2W has been a problem since Jade gear was introduced in the game. So, from 2013/2014 and on primarily. I don't see how the game being increasingly P2W supports the dying claim when it has been a problem for so long and the game has been stable since then. They also used an unfair, biased comparison when comparing 2020 and 2021 updates. 2020 has already passed and had a full ROTATION of updates. 2021 is still at least closer to a month away from its fall update, so it was entirely unfair and biased to use Karamelle as evidence that 2021 was a worse year for wiz compared to 2020, because 2021 hasn't had its big update yet. She had also mentioned that "Wiz only gets a world every few years" which was also wrong. If you take a look back at updates, (its entire 13 year history) the only recent year there wasn't some kind of level/world content update was 2019, when they introduced Catacombs. Again, thank you for going over that video, I hope eventually more people can see this and figure out how roughly made that video was, because as someone who usually holds an open mind on things, I was disappointed to see how all the evidence in that video was either incorrect or out of context. - Plus, KI is still working on Elie's old KI budget, not MGI's. You have to look at data next year to really determine if the MGI acquisition is a success or not, similar to the game "dying"

I think it is way to have them to make a lot of moneys and have a players be happy (Note the list is not the only way to fix the game) 1:have the start schools spellements (like firecat) to be farmable 2:when you get a new pack with a new spell you can get then find a way for free player or player who have low income to get the spells my point is KL should try to make the player want to use them wallets not to be force to use them wallets

I think the "Dying Wizard101" that everybody is talking about is the EU wiz, since the situation here is way worse... They even put the 7th character slot and the level 50 elixirs for free... Aside from all the massive multiple happy hours (80%+ 70%+...) in these past two months...

you are not wrong, but you are not correct either. Wizard101 is in a 'dying state' because user numbers have been constantly falling. We went from 10K players active, to around 4.7K active concurrently. That is still enough to maintain the game on life support. That is a 60% loss of players since 2018. We do not know how many players left with the shift to gamigo. The above is already enough to blanket state that 'game is dying', i have played the game for 10+ years. I do not like the above fact, but it is true none the less. PS- do not talk about statistics when you do not know what your talking about- just because 80K people watch X or Y does not mean 80K people are playing the game. Its been hard tested that the wizard101 servers can only hold about 1000 players, at max we see 5 full servers. That is your value. 5K players is your value. Not 80K.

Idk why I thought the New company would bring w101 to a whole new light, sometimes you can be blinded by your imagination I guess. I do think they could atleast alter the membership prices or expand the free sections of the game though. I do see a great potential profit in that as it could attract much more people than it is now.

I like your perspective. To counter, gain in subscribers doesn't mean gain in players. For example, fairiequeens posted a video in reference to "What's happening in w101?". Do you think she haven't grew any subs from that video? She has. Also she grew subs from other videos not of w101. I also want to point out that there are many who sub and watch for pvp but do not play because they like the creator and entertainment that is different from just playing the game alone. So that isn't evidence that a game isn't dying. Nonetheless it can influence players into the game depending on the person's heart but it doesn't necessarily bring players to it.

Fun fact about my view counts on socialblade. I've unlisted my streams since my peak views, so all those views do not get counted by socialblade. Almost every month in any given year has been better than the same month in the previous year during the time I've been streaming and making vids!

Really enjoyed the video. Thorough information provided on the standpoint of a fact-based argument vs random baseless statements (from either side) is important. A couple of things I wanted to add to that as well: In the first half of 2020, the realms were noticeably more full, at times even filling up almost 2 pages. Some mentioned that it was due to the ongoing pandemic and would result in the game dying post pandemic, which, technically, the ongoing pandemic would be a contributing cause for that many people being on at a single given time, however it also proves there is an existing player base. That didn't necessarily mean no one was playing before, but that not everyone played, or were able to play, at the same given time (which you touched on, some players are just not as active due to ongoing things, but due to the pandemic more people had more time at home, thus more players on together at a given time) In terms of content updates, KI has formatted around the 3 standard content updates per year: Spring, Summer, and Fall. As with every game in existence, updates draw the larger crowds of players that are still interested in the game, which is seen by the influx of players checking out new updates. Within the past couple of years, KI has focused on revamps (graphics and the FTUE), PvP and spell reworks, adding events outside of standard questing (Beastmoon, Deckthalon), bug fixes, and other minor additions that players were asking for (volunteer feature at the team-up kiosk, adventure parties to play with friends in a more supported group-like feature, Housing Kiosk improvements, etc.) With this being the primary focus, content updates experienced a shift away from new worlds and larger questlines, in which KI added the Catacombs. However, the impact of updates feel significantly smaller this past year, but with KI already mentioning they are aware of commonly requested features (factions, name changing, dye wheel + color options) the smaller stuff players would like to see does take time, and will add up to the game overall, instead of feeling like a massively major content drop. Between crowns/premium items and free to play content items, I'm concerned on KI needing to find that balance between packs, mounts, and other crowns-related/premium items and free-to-play content. Overall, I don't see the game as dying. Especially with Karamelle releasing last year and Lemuria coming this Fall, I think overall the upcoming updates coming soon and next year are going to feel a lot more impactful on the wider player base.

Don't know if I'll watch the video, but the solution to boost player counts is simple. KI needs to advertise again, that's really it.

People who wanna do a life listen up! This video was posted about a year ago and some things have changed for the life school 1. We can get forest lord at level 48 now 2. We have the life kookaburra that gives a 4 pip aoe leaf storm 3. Get the green ratatoskr spell early on the game, you can get it from the grizzleheim lore pack or by grinding loremaster. It’s a 4 pip aoe spell that can be enchanted and do lots of damage 4. We have the second best health in the game, I have only died 2 times and I’m level 66 now on my life. the information on life in this video is outdated. Have a great day life wizards! 🍃🐮

They need to release new schools from lvl 1 think that would boost the game

It's being left to rot while injected with unnecessary things. Some updates have redeeming qualities, and there still is lots of good from the fandom, despite what it and the game have been through. Dead compared to before, sure. More like stagnating.

It's quite obvious who this video was throwing shade at (I'm sure there's no ill intent so don't worry etc.). I agree the game isn't necessarily at it's all time low; it's just simply seeing a plateau in the playerbase because the pandemic is (somewhat) ending and there has not been much new content. To say this game is on its last leg is entirely false. What we CAN say is the most recent game business decisions haven't been the best, and there are things that need to be touched on. 2020 July's spell revamp was some of the biggest changers the game has ever seen followed by a slight stat audit. 2021 July however I felt was practically uneventful in terms of impactful updates. Aside from that, I'd say wizard101 is in the same place it was after they finished empyrea; a plateau'd yet consistent playerbase.
