I had my Prostate removed 2yrs ago, no erection since, no help forthcoming with tablets or info etc. although I have now enquired as to help for my ED and the Hospital has now suggested tablets etc!! I feel this should have been offered from day one after my Surgery!! Oh forgot to mention I am now incontinence, and have to use diapers constantly, due to issues from my procedure, had to have a Catheter installed for ten to eleven wks!! I tried Kegel exercises and they didn’t work for me, every time I tried to use the pelvic muscles to stop the urine, it just pushed more urine out, I was told to try and increase the exercises, but then I had kidney pain, so I stopped doing them!!

Excelent, complete, clear and truly reliable and holistic vision about this subject. Very honest and realistic. Bravo! M.Dr. with 45 years of medical practice, now 70. Healty, thin BMI 21, no tablets, no smoke, no alcohol, sport and active life until now. Everything normal. 12 weeks ago PSA high, fast increasing. Contrast MRI, fusion biopsy, confirmed cancer cells. Just a week ago gone through a radical prostathechtomy after being diagnosed of prostate cancer (Gleason 4+3). Full of illusion to keep on living a happy life. I needed to hear such words to feel confident. Thanks. 👍

Great!!! 👍👍👍 LAST 3 MINUTES SHOULD BE WRITTEN IN GOLD. REALLY TRUE 👌🏼 Talk, hand movement and voice tones are really good ( M.D. M Tous) I have been a GP for 40 years. Now I am just a patient, 72h after surgery For other reasons I have been learning before, abdominal breath, yoga, hipopresives (learned from a mother after giving birth). Your explanation very helpful. I must now wait for the catheter to be removed. Thanks ❤❤❤🙏

After watching this video, I went to this guys clinic for the ultrasonic guided exercises, for about 3 months prior to my prostate removal. I was continent after the first day of catheder removal.. Not everyone can be that lucky but I'm glad I went. I was only 50 at the time of the OP, so that's almost cheating as well. Try stack the odds in your favor any way you can.

Unreal, until recently I hadn't realized that Mario updated his favorite way to tackle ED and it's a relief! Although what he previously suggested was pretty good, it was a real pain to follow... I just go'ogled the latest by Mario Volpstein, it's so much simpler and potent now!

Do you agree with the reporters statement that there are no early warning signs of prostate cancer? “Early prostate cancer usually causes no symptoms. While not common, symptoms of early prostate cancer might include: Problems urinating, including a slow or weak urinary stream or the need to urinate more often, “

I came within 18 hours of chemical castration (aka ADT, which they euphemistically like to call "hormone therapy") which is typically done in conjunction with external beam radiation. Neither my urologist nor my radiation oncologist ever suggested that avoiding chemical castration via brachytherapy might be an option. Via lots of research, I cancelled the hormone shot and now am past my second (and last) HDR brachytherapy treatment. Luckily for me, my cancer is small enough and localized enough that this has a good chance of being a successful monotherapy. For those out there who have been told they need external beam radiation with hormone suppression, I urge you to investigate the long term effects of chemical castration..... from what I can tell, you will never be the same. Logically, brachytherapy (either low dose permanent seeds, or high dose which is a quick but very strong 2-session exposure) makes a lot of sense as it delivers radiation most directly to the location of the cancer. There are also side effects to brachytherapy, of course. These include urinary problems (relatively short term), frequent urination. constipation, blood in urine and semen, and fatigue but these side effects are relatively short term (a few weeks, longer for the frequent urination) but PALE in comparison to chemical castration. PLEASE do your own research and do NOT just accept what the first doc says. A doctor is very likely to recommend the thing that they are specialized in and the method that their employer uses, be it surgery, external beam radiation with chemical castration, or brachytherapy. Yes, I am saying that I was treated as a customer just as much as a patient. Sad, but true. This is not like being treated for a broken leg where the solution is a no-brainer.... YOU MUST DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH.

Listen up guys. I just found this while looking to what others may experience after surgery. I'm at my 4th week post op and wish I would have researched before hand. I've just always been the type of guy that has that mentality ..."it is what it is, just do what ya have to do" If you come across this and may know someone getting ready for this surgery, please tell them that someone who has been through this recommended it. Going to make a video about my experience and definitely will link this Video. Thank You Australia!!

My experience was totally different. My GP, Urologist/surgeon, physiotherapist, staff and nurses at the hospital and those who performed the testing before surgery have all been informative, transparent, professional and willing to answer any questions I asked. And that's it - you've got to be proactive.

Great message. When it comes to prostate health, Aussie men over 50 need to be more PRO-active and not reactive and have a discussion with their GP about their prostate and organise the PSA blood test (no gloves involved!!). This is coming from someone who is going through the same ‘journey’ as you.

Seven weeks post-op and I’ve seen plenty of lectures on these subjects but this is the best presentation I’ve seen yet. Very informative and in a serious, factual, pragmatic, and descriptive manner that makes it comfortable to view, easy to relate to, and very comprehensive. Thank you for recording this and making it accessible.

I concur with the notion of the waiting game. My cancer is stage 4 and is in the lymph nodes. The treatment will be apalutamide tablets + 3 monthly injections of Leuprorelin. Now is the question if it brings the psa down which at the last count was 78 and I'm curious if it works whence the waiting game. Thanks for the video it does give me an understanding of how things work.

I'm recently diagnosed with 4+3=7 prostate cancer. I concur very much with the notion that the waiting game from the decision to have an image made and then receipt of the outcome of the scan is very difficult. I have a pcma pet scan set for next week. The wait and the delays are very stressful. I feel as though my life is in suspended animation. Thank you for this video.

Gleeson score 3+4. PSA 4.0 - currently doing HRD Brachytherapy at PeterMac, Melbourne. Thus far one of two down, feeling better than expected, however let's await the period after 2nd (and presumably final) treatment. My current concern is the monitoring after treatment, as it appears that my PSA score did not indicate "an issue", hence is it suitable as an indicator post treatment? On the top of my list of questions.! Anybody has an answer/suggestion?
