Same here! I used to think I had a heart of ice, but then I watched the show and cried more than I feel comfortable admitting. From that point on it's as if it had changed me, as if it revealed my emotions to me, and now I can no longer ignore them. I think the major reason I got so affected by it is because despite the characters not being real, I'm sure there are a lot of real people who have had something like that happen to them. And I hurt just thinking about that.

too bad.... it was a fun anime but with the worst possible ending... though i have no complaints against kukichi ending up with him.... but i think the author was too harsh on mimimi... i feel bad about her.... also there was aoi hanabi left on a cliffhanger.... no backstory, where did she come from, how tf did she take the form of JOHAN LIEBERT, manipulating everything, also that sister of hers.... we don't have any info on her.... i feel like this anime was made in a rash, it had no smooth ending.... it just gave in halfway, what a waste of great potentialface-purple-cryingface-purple-cryingface-purple-crying

Imagine watching the adaptation instead of playing original game. The entire game was build about making you like all of the main cast only to revival what everyone is dead. Also the main thing why game is awesome is it's mini-games. After completing it you get even more content for new playthroughs.

she is beautiful, cute, determined, feisty and bossy, and best of all, she wears glasses (women with glasses are the most beautiful on earth). Of the main three, she's my favorite. she looks like Kara from "neet girl date night". I literally created scenarios in my mind where I marry her.

Clannad wasn’t great, but it was important for Clannad After Story. Clannad After Story was fantastic. Remember that they are separate shows. Clannad After Story was depressing yes, but that “alternate ending” was the true ending. Ushio created a world where Tomoya and Nagisa would end up together, have her, and not have the sickness. I still think it was depressing not knowing that till the end but hey, what else would you call good writing? 😂

Glad you made the decision to watch it. This show randomly came across my desk in 2012 when I was fresh in college and I’ve loved it as well as most of KyotoAni projects since. Also Tomoyo is best girl. Thems just facts

first season sucked for me. But the second season was amazing... Till they reveal that everyone survives... Like seriously? I cried... So... So much, only to get... This... I want a refund of my emotions! Worst part is that I found out that in the original work, the visual novel, everyone does die. And this is basically a code geass resurrection situation...

Its not an alternate ending it was the true ending. In the visual novel once you reach the ending the same thing happens. It requires you to think a lot about its meaning but I'll try to help. Ushio actually died, she then went to the other world (as foreshadowed since the beginning) and in order to grant her father his wish she began collecting those orbs (which were always an established concept since the beginning) after she collected enough of the orbs it was up to tomoya to finally accept what happened and to stop blaming the world around him. After that he made his wish and time essentially reset (in the visual novel you restart the entire story, ending the same as the anime) now with nagisa having survived. It's more of, the other ending where she died was the alternate ending, but in order to get the real ending you needed to go through that ending.
