I really want to help my community and i've been thinking about joining the knights for months, but I couldn't give two shits about religion. Don't get me wrong, spirituality is crucial to a healthy life and a strong mental health, but I think it's really self limiting for the organization and it's participants to narrow it down around just one religion. It is basically killing the organization, excpecially here in Canada, where we have a very wide spectrum of religious beliefs, and many differents ethnicities. I really think the organization could benefit from other point of view and differents ways of doing things. And more importantly, excpecially today in this day and age of internet and sharing information, where younger folks have the opportunity to choose in what way they want to explore their spirituality. What does the knights want, a healthier more connected, and stronger community, or more catholic man in their clan. I do understand that the church is still today a pillar for most community in many ways, but from my point of view, and from what i've seen in my community, the younger generation won't limit themselves to one religion to explore their spirituality. It took me 26 years to find someone from my generation who is willing to join the knights, and from what we could tell, anyone with a good heart and proper organization can do everything the knights can do without the religious aspect of it, so really what's the point in joining a religious organization we don't really share beliefs with if we can have a positive impact around us without the religious side of it? I think the world is evolving and the knight should do the same if that don't want to end up in the dust.

I met a man who is a member of the knights of Columbus and my god he looked awesome with the beret sword etc I duty is to my family I guess you can say I am more of a man then my disgraceful father but .......I don't think I would want to be a knight of Columbus but its a nice idea I told my mother "i don't think I would be a good knight of Columbus ..not the way I am right now" and she said "you don't know that"

I enjoyed my time more in catholic grade school during the 1970s being governed by elderly nuns than ive enjoyed any of my time spent as a knight.noone seems to want to talk in my council and I get tired of being the only one who does.

There is a room in one of the dorms at my college and it said knights of Columbus on it. We got scared cause it looked culty so I looked it up and found this. Now I see it’s nothing to be afraid of lol

Bought property and sold it under false pretenses which left countless victims empty handed with nothing and nowhere to turn or go. Because he was too powerful in the system his peers help create. Well, Mr. Assaly? How smart are you now? With nothing to your name, addicted, no family, friends and no God. Was it worth it? I bet you can honestly say no now. But I wonder what you say in death? As the original Knights of Columbus, they enter under false pretenses and use you and the system to kill us, rape our children, and mock us all in the process. The innocent have a voice, the mentally handicapped have a voice, I have a voice! They lie use and give very minimal of the collections to help the cause they were meant too. All the while befriending the handicapped and tricking them into work for "friendship and help" while they collect. All in the name of God? Knights of Columbus indeed!!!!!!! In the Catholic faith, there’s a Catholic fraternal group for men. The Knights of Columbus. KOFC. They’re dedicated to the Catholic faith and are determined to defend it against Satan and his army. They’re also dedicated to Virgin Mary. My cousin and I and his dad are 3rd and 4th degree Knights. I’m proud of being a Knight. Nothing will stand in my way of defending my Catholic faith. I will defeat every spiritual foe that Satan throws at me.

The first time I joined the Knights of Columbus was the day after Easter Sunday 2009. It was my cousin and his dad who inspired me to join. Soon after I joined, I began recruiting more Catholic men to join. Joining the Knights was the best thing I’ve done. I hope and pray that my older brother will join too. The same thing for my 7 year old nephew. When he’s 18 years old, he can join.
