Thank you, that's easy to understand. I'll be troubleshooting the AC on my Sube Forester next week.

Hi AC Avalanche, I have a Chevrolet Sonic 2015 the the problem is that the high pressure pipe is cold and the low pressure pipe is warm and the A/C does not cool, what could be the problem? i have to recharge the system each month.

What is the effect of ambient air of the outside temp .. on condenser as the radiator fan is to cool the refrigerant ?

My a/c warms up upon acceleration, then comes back to normal. At idle its freezing, I take off at a light and warms up. . I did add freon I belive I might overcharged it, I did need freon though, it was low.

After certain rpm and throtle % the ac automaticly stopps maybe that

Mine does that, did you fix it?

Worked great for me. Follow the damn directions on the can and you won’t blow out your system. It only took about half a can to get factory cold again.

That is correct for TXV metering device but not FOT (fixed orifice tube), in FOT systems the low side will rise more than the high side with an overcharge, watch the video.. kzbin.info/www/bejne/e3q6oJiKZbx-Z7M

Gimmick product not applicable to today’s modern bearable compressors with the Mr. feedback power control module control AC systems. It will still overcharge you on some vehicles it will most likely under charge you on other vehicles but work good enough that they can make a sale for their product and say it works. Now apply that to the new heat pump vehicles that are just hitting the market right now Prius prime three years ago and now a whole fleet of hybrid and electric vehicles having heat pump systems. And depending on the ambient air temperature the system will be totally worthless

So the blue clip is useless, because you actually stop when the green one changes.

After charging, the can of refrigerant still felt quite full. Can I unscrew the hose and reconnect it to the same can at a later date, if needed?

What cuases noise when ac is on? The noise starts when the 2 condenser motors some on and noise stops when motors stop? High side pressure increases and overheats.

What is the temperature in the condenser?
@metalhalide40434 жыл бұрын
The TXV has only one function and that is to control superheat, ensuring that only vapor goes back to the compressor, it does not control pressure or temperature. There are two forces trying to close the TXV (evap pressure and the superheat spring) and one force trying to open it (superheat aka power head). Low side pressure will increase or decrease depending on the refrigerant charge, with more liquid pressure the refrigerant is moving faster through the evap and not removing as much heat.
