I am only at the beginning of watching this meeting, but why are these terribly-toned meetings still allowed? It is so inappropriate to speak to anyone the way you do to each other (like to Andre, Dick at the beginning). Whichever of you is speaking so cruelly is at fault for lack of professionalism and leadership. Also why are problematic directors still even allowed, rather than verbally mistreating them during a live recorded session, can you just ban them from attending? This type of ugly treatment and dialog is so unhealthy for the LWV community. I am shocked and dismayed this is still going on after all these years. Also regarding the old pine trees - the huge cones ARE very dangerous. I am sure you will figure out the right thing for residents safety to protect them from falling cones. And welcome to the new security leader. Best to you.

GRF's investments in Freddie Mac and Fannie May mutual funds is totally inappropriate for an organization that purports fiscal responsibility for its 16,000 residents. Prior to moving to Laguna Woods, I was treasurer of an HOA for 20 of the 30 years I lived there. At no time, did we ever put any of our money into mutual funds, because it was not our money to put at risk. It was only invested in CD's, or other investments fully insured by the FDIC. The gains were minimal, but the money was safe! GRF would be wise to cut their losses and get out of investments that pose any chance for loss.

United needs professional, mature, calm, and steady board members who have the good of the community in mind and who can collaborate to reach decisions together. We do not need people who are recklessly ill-informed and just want to create chaos. Please choose wisely.

At 2:00 this video states "Guests must present their passes to be scanned before entry is allowed". Not true. Guests are registered into the gate entry system by the Dwelling Live system. If a Dwelling Live pass has been issued to a guest, the guest may state their name, and the name and address of the person being visited, to gain admittance without presenting the printed or scanned pass. I have verified this with a working gate ambassador.

Vote No! What a Mess. The insurance issue is lumped together with CC &R and by laws changes that strip away what little protection members currently have. Members read the CC&R and the bylaws that was attached to the message sent out October 8 th. That was the first time I had ever seen those documents. Why the unholy rush and during a time when we are concerned about national elections? When anything is a rush job, not allowing members adequate time to learn about ramifications, my default questions are? Follow the money. Who amongst the folks rushing to do this benefit? The changes remove term limits for directors. Longevity as directors might mean knowledge about process but it can also mean a lot of power. Power corrupts. Let us not set up a monarchy or oligarchy with Third. Take a close look at pages 60-61 of the CC&R, it reads like members are responsible for damage to their units, for whatever cause and does not distinguish between interior and exterior portions. If Exhibit E was indeed an error, why were the errors consistent with the language in pages 60-61? Maybe I misinterpreted the words so I would like to hear from lawyers who better understand kawyerese. How many board directors actually read the CC&R and the by -laws the lawyers put together?

This Jeff Parker is totally unable to manage a kindergarten let alone Laguna Woods. The concerts in Aliso Park are just awful. So much for living in a tranquil setting. A bunch of mediocre musicians getting their 15 minutes of fame at the expense of residence who paid a premium for their units facing the creek. We were told by security we could put up political flags wherever we wanted on our unit and we could do whatever we wanted in the park as long as the noise level was not bothering us. Well we complained and not a dam thing has been done. This whole music in the park was ok maybe for two hours on a Saturday or Sunday but every day for 4 hours, what a shame we have such a lousy management team here in the woods.
