12 Expert - MI-4 in 1983 Moved to Maine that year and got the ABA#1 plate, but that might have been because I was the only rider in the state. 😂

I came down from Canada to race this track in 1985, as well as Rochester 'Cool Tool' track in New York. I had a DK Racing poster autographed by all these guys. I remember being nervous to ask Harry Leary for his signature, lol. These guys were gods to me. Good times. Thanks for posting this. Shout out to all the guys I raced with at Stoney Creek BMX in Hamilton, Ontario!

Interesting the names from back then. Turns out the most famous guy there would turn out to be John Tomac in the 15 expert class. Crazy career and now his kid is one of the best motocross racers in history.

Any chance you have the full version with interviews of each group? I won the 10 girls race. The interview is terribly embarrassing but I’d like a copy.

Johnathon by chance did you rid a Mongoose cruiser? I remember a guy who raced a Mongoose cruiser at Dixieland between 81-83. He wore a Schwinn jersey but rode a Goose. Some Sundays he would be the only cruiser in his class.
@hoagie1965 Жыл бұрын
@@saulgoodman4855 I rode a Hutch XL24 from 82-84 and before that a Redline PL-20 and Cook Bros 20 in 1981-1982. I cannot recall the guy you are mentioning - Tim Merritt from GA was factory Schwinn back then. There was a guy who worked for the local Schwinn shop named Steve but he rode 20. I worked for Bike Pedlar
