As a young boy, participating in a recorder ensemble, my teacher once put on a vinyl of Frans Brüggen. Since then, he was my hero. I am very happy that Lucy proceeds his path.♥

I had the privilege of listening to Frans in a concert in the Abbey of San Fruttuoso di Camogli Italy when I was about 10. He was playing solo for about 20 people in a magic place. It's an experience I will treasure for my life.

It's clear that this special instruments expects a refined and very well experience musician. Who understand the different Souls.

I think these instruments are magic. Frans Bruggen radically changed his way of playing because of them, and in this video we can also hear the voices of the past claiming a place in our modern world once again.

To me Lucie is not only giving them live again but she makes the flute as an instrument soooo close to this time! She really is a great great musician and I am really thankful for these beautiful recordings and for the people who made it possible to do this project ♥️♥️

Captain Beefheart wrote music and also painted. By your criteria he wasn't a musician. John Lennon wrote poetry and music. Ditto. Paul Simon. The list is pretty long.

She is the SUPER BEST with Emotions. Mozart.. Is hard with new personality but she does it best better than all. May even be more personal than Mozart.... We don't have Him recorded so we don't know.

I hope future parents continue to listen to classical at home and immerse the entire family in it. As Uchida says here, it must start at home first, then school. There is no other way. I see many parents today are forgetting and disengaging from it. The environment is all. May we never forget this unique gift to the world, and to human souls.

The slow movement was perfectly ethereal, what Ravel called for with the mutes on strings.
