In case you guys were wondering where folks like Dirk ,Duncan, Embiid, and Jokic got their post games from. This is the original. Hasn't been one since to operate at this level in the post, save MJ.

You know what is amazing, 1988 Bird and the Celtics? Boston had the 2nd best record in the NBA and the best record in the East . This was also the best season statistically of Bird's career . Bird, McHale, Parish and Ainge were all All Stars . They added former All Stars Jim Paxson from Portland and Artis Gilmore from San Antonio. In the semifinals against Atlanta, Bird had that legendary 4th quarter shootout with Dominique Wilkins in Game 7. All FACTS! But in the next round, Detroit shutdown Bird, outran them and dominated them on the boards and TODAY fools say Detroit only beat them because they got old and were injured. Complete BS! My take, if they were so old, how did they get the 2nd best record in the league and homecourt advantage over Detroit to begin with?

Poor Hakeem....he was a 6'0" point guard, trapped in a 6'10" body. He was so freaking fast for a big guy.....on second thought, he was just fast, big or small....

Who would have a chance to guard him today? Draymond Green? Embiid? They’d get smoked so badly they’d cry.

It was so great being a Rockets fans during Olajuwon's time. If they could have gotten passed the Sonics, they would have won a couple more championships.

I was at this game. I was sitting in the Bruins penalty box behind the Cs bench. The 42 points was Larry's playoff high... until he scored 43 in the very next home game. Ha!

This reminds me of when I used to give a damn about the NBA in general instead of just the Warriors now. As a little kid growing up, we got Celtics games a lot on CBS, and so I grew up watching the teamwork of Bill Russell, John Havilicek, Sam Jones, Bailey Howell, and Dennis Johnson, etc. Bird scores 47 in this game - making 2 of the most important shots... but look at that passing.... wow. Just go to 2:50 and watch him fake 3 guys up in the air, and pass underneath them to the wide open guy 5 feet from the bucket.

Here's the backstory on why Larry Bird was punishing Kenny Walker. Larry Bird wanted to play for Kentucky in college, but the Kentucky coach said Larry wasn't good enough to play for Kentucky. Larry Bird being Larry Bird, he held on to that slight and always looked to bust the asses of Kentucky players like Kentucky's Kenny "Sky" Walker when they got to the NBA.
