Oh my god I have no idea what I have. We got this one from the side of the road. They might be a Silkie mix? Or a Cochin mix? They've got feathers on their legs, not very pronounced wattles or anything... they're just a babyyy I don't really... want another rooster. My last one was my baby and I loved him, but he passed away. Since then we don't have enough hens for another rooster. Maybe if its part Silkie it'll be a bit of a smaller roo... UGH CHICKENS.

One of my chicks kind of has splayed leg but one of her legs is high up so she’s limping and her claw is curled. I’ve tried making a kind of sandal that straightened out her claw but not sure how to address her limping…she’s managing to get around but with some difficulty..any suggestions on how to straighten her leg please?

I’ve had chickens and ducks for many years, but only recently began hatching out chicks in an incubator. What an unpleasant discovery when I noticed one chick’s toes still had NOT UNCURLED by the 2nd day. I was at a loss about what to do with the unfortunate little one… until I found this video. My 1st generation rendition of the “orthotic chick sandal” isn’t nearly as pretty as yours, but it worked instantly. Now the chick is ambulatory and pattering around the brooder rather than scooting !! I have high expectations for completely normal function post rehab-thanks to you AND the Lord for leading me to your video ❤

Our Ginger is still struggling after 5 weeks now, especially if you pick her up - got the Vit D/Selenium for goats, lots of food, sunflower seeds, vits in water etc. I think if they've had it a while it could be brain damage 😥 She's better on sunny days (vit D) 🤞🤞
