i have been trying to learn this based off of this video and I am a little confused on what ur doing with your thumb around the 8 second mark for it to move so fast
@daveshannonguitaracademy20 күн бұрын
I'd love to say there's a secret to this but truth is the thumb is just having to move very fast! Only thing I'd say is try to keep your thumb movement very efficient, so particularly when you're doing a quick thumbstroke from the low E to the A string, try to make sure the downstroke from the low E string almost carries into the downstroke of the subsequent A string rather than feeling like they're 2 completely separate movements. Hope that makes sense! And of course, start it suuuuper slow to make sure you build up the correct muscle memory and speed it up gradually (preferably by playing along to a metronome, increasing by 5bpm at a time!)

Is this using the amps crunch channel or OD
@daveshannonguitaracademy21 күн бұрын
It was coming from the amp in this case, I also have an EQ pedal boosting the high mids and highs and taking the lows down a bit
