What was that time: a gang of four robed some small coffee shop? Boys perhaps were in real need. :)

It was true 40 years ago and it's true today, sometimes justice is better served by a few cent's worth of cartridges than it is by a multi-million dollar legal system.

I watched that scene many times and first time noticed that Clint Eastwood parks his car on the empty parking spot near the shop, and it seems he is doing it for the last 10 years. That would be like "dream comes true" for the today's New Yorker...

This movie is everything wrong with America! Gun violence! Toxic masculinity! It glorifies a white male police officer shooting poor, downtrodden and oppressed black men who were left with no other choices in life due to being held down by the racist white regime and the patriarchy!

reminded of one of the few serious roles billy crystal did as a chicago cop. a thug was holidng a gun on a woman. he responded to another cop with , 'no habla englsih" crystal came up from the side and put his gun to the guys nostril- "Habla smith and wesson?"

This scene never fails to make me laugh. Bad guys are sitting around hiding and not robbing until Harry leaves. Then they jump up and start waving their guns around and taking hostages BUT STILL NOT ROBBING. And it's in broad daylight, with huge picture windows showing all of the activity to the crowded streets. These guys are geniuses.

Especially lawless American cities. One million females raped and 350 thousand children kidnapped and thousands more molested by church priests. 40 thousand homicides a year. 15 million car jacking. 700 billion medical insurance fraud. 2 and a 1/2 million prisoners in US jails. Burglaries and arson. AND YET, THEY CALL THEMSELVES A CIVILIZED SOCIETY. INCREDIBLE HOW FAR IDIOTIC RHETORIC CAN REACH. Of course you need many Charles Bronson [his real last name is Buchinsky].

However enjoyable this scene is, it’s a bit hard to believe that Harry was so absorbed in his newspaper, that he didn’t notice the sugar trick! Nor did the gangsters!
