The feather you drew is also much much good in case of realistic so you doesn't have to edit your drawing. (in last)

this is by far, the best oil pastel demonstration I've seen on youtube, thanks for sharing, I was looking for oil pastels techniques that don't use blending, the result is stunning!

Hi, thanks for the useful tips. I found eg with cups, that the front arc of an elipse curves, in my opinion, more fully than the back arc. Before realising this, and drawing what was there, I found elipses very difficult. Your art is beautiful.

I have been draw throughout my life yet I keep getting stuck on retaining character art. I for the life of me have to keep restarting from scratch basics every time I stop draw for a few weeks to month I just need to start carrying a small sketch book with me and draw head hand and feet until I beat it into my head.

Very interesting, but … I used to like drawing cars and once used a technique like the upside-down. Ended up being one of the best ones but has two nagging errors. Missed the forest in the trees, so to speak. Errors notwithstanding, the joy of the process was somewhat lost by drawing the shapes of a car instead of drawing a car. It became a mechanical exercise, versus “art” if that makes sense.

So how many minutes should I spend on each of these exercises before going into the actual drawing

The original 602 are the pencils selling for that much. The formula died with the company. Another company picked up the defunct Blackwing name and tried to get the new 602 as close as possible. From what I have heard the vintage and new are different your mileage would vary as to which is better.

I want to believe that i can draw like yusuke murata, Tite kubo, marc burnet, drawlikeasir and DD mark. I just dont know if i ever will tbh. Its to much all at the same time. Linework, boxes, perspektiv, vanishing points, elipces, Anatomy, gesture, background its just insain. And i have been drawing for 6 months now and i am not getting any better. I firmly believe that there is talented people. Its just that talented people dont even realise that they are talanted and tell people "its just practise bro" when in truth its more like this. "Alot of hardwork and practice, along with inborn talent" They / you. Just dont know it. 😅

first of all, it is not a square at 3:22. second, the idea of a drawing a smaller square and then removing is terrible. make it more simple by drawing 2 lines.
