Demondrae has made me re-think my rankings of all the brass instruments... I almost want to say that I like Euphonium even more than my own instrument, the trumpet.

I was brought to actual tears just by listening to this for a band assignment. I didnt know how truly beautiful a euphonium could sound until now.
Just found this, i like the energetic yet hopeful (and kinda sad?) tone of the song.

As a euphonium player hearing this over and over again, it makes me want to master this piece. I probably will never sound as refined as the Demondrae Thurman given the years he has over a young and naive man such as me, but I'll hopefully be able to play this one day.

Great video production of an awesome concerto! So happy to see (hear) there's a great orchestrated version now. :)

Euphonium solo with band accompany - NOT band solo with euphonium accompany - band needs to play quieter so that the intricacies that the soloist is playing can be heard in all detail

As the composer of an orchestral euphonium concerto (way back in 1987), I just love to see such wide exposure for a virtuoso euphoniumist playing with an orchestra. It's so rare, sadly. Kudos to the composer and the orchestrator for creating this wonderful showcase for the instrument, and of course to the great Demondrae Thurman. I was especially happy that the editors kept in all of the audience applause - it means everything to composers, who are usually out of the spotlight.

Why are they not using Spit Diapers? The floor in front of them must be a gross mess.
@gbeachy20103 жыл бұрын
99.9 percent of what comes out of the "spit" valves is actually condensed moisture from their breath, in other words, distilled water. Cleans up easily.

He deserves way more attention. He is very much on par with Steven Mead, Bastien Baumet, David Childs and Anthony Calliet!!! This kind of virtuosic playing shouldn't be kept from the world!!!
