not necessarily, I have been stage 2 for 2 years with stock clutch and don't feel like it's failing anytime soon. and it has been stage 1 since 2015.

Yes you do need to upgrade or you may burn out your clutch.

Just curious if you’re sure that your plugging the diverter valve plug back in when you installed the DV spacer and stock inlet tube? The diverter valve spacer should only be making a woosh sound, the forgetting to plug back in the diverter valve is the flutter sound. - which is one of my favorite sounds ever, but I just don’t think the spacer is making the sound. The DV not operating is causing the turbo to surge and making the sweet choochoos.

Im kinda iffy about this now 😂 cause yours sounds amazing, and then there some that sound like absolute crap with this setup. Did yours sound bad before tuned or was it sounding like this before tuned as well. Cause ive seen some vids are sounding pike tractors that are nearly broken.

I have the cts catless dp but haven’t installed it yet. I have the APR cat back installed already and with the stock DP there is no drone. We’ll see with the DP installed but I couldn’t deal with the no muffler setup. Maybe if I was 20 years younger lol

Stock MK7 catbacks have 1 resonator and 1 muffler, so based on his description he still has the res.

My mk7.5 gti got 340hp and it's stupidly quick. Model 3 performance stood no chance above 100 kph rolling, sierra c6 6.2 swapped 480hp at 80 kph, when my car was stock, a v6 maxima passed me lmao

Most of the benefits of Ethanol come around E40-50. Running the high of an ethanol content isn’t necessary.

I have a 400hp mk6 that looks completely stock on the outside. It’s fbo, k04, on ethanol and all my extra gauges are hidden so even on the inside you can’t tell it’s modified, until it starts that is. It also doesn’t have any lights lit up so that’s not even an indication.

Same, I have a K04 Q5 2.0T with a completedly forged motor that I built myself in my garage that looks completely stock on the outside, including the wheels. Only way you can tell it maybe has more power when it's standing still are the Pilot Sport 4S tires. It's basically big Golf R now. I love surprising people with it... when I pass them they still see the factory Q5 and 2.0T badges on the rear... along with a hitch.

Yo I have a mk7 gti as well witht the CTS catless downpipe, If I don't have the ac on recycle I have a lot of exhaust fumes coming into the cabin. Do you have similar problems? Also do you have a diverter valve is that why you have so much turbo flutter?

GTI 2.0Ts just sound terrible compared to the old VR6 ones. This one sounds even worse than stock. 4 cyl is just hopeless for sounding nice apparently.

Naturally aspirated ones can sound good, but a turbo eliminates intake induction sound and screws up the exhaust sound too.
