do you have any newer sockit linux desktop image? currently the usb ports are not active when booting to linux. keyboard and mouse are not working or turning on. only serial terminal works. other linux distributions work on the arrow sockit. like mister fpga. the altera gsrd v16.0 does not finish booting either.

Didn't explain that the Arduino header pins are mostly shared with the 40 pin GPIO connector, and two digits of the 7 segment LED display (which has no dot LEDs connected, only the digits). So, you have to choose which of three functions you want, for each of those pins - you don't get all three at once.

One FPGA to rule them all.. I wonder what it's successor will look like? I think the MiSTer community makes a strong case for the mainstream viability of such an advancement at an equally-decent price point. Might be some competition from AMX/Xilinx by then if we're lucky. I want to see FPGA take a more mainstream role in consumer electronics, now that I've seen what is possible there. Even in PC.

This board was strange, someone is possible to program fpga, sometimes not, after conenction to internal USB Blaster is seen in hardware in Quartus, sometimes not ???!!! I spend all day to find way how to programm FPGA and I found is possible quickly after power ON !! . After hours i used shorter USB cable from 1 meter to 30cm and voila ? Works without problems.... God.. All day is off..

you have forget to say that SOC EDS SDK for Intel Altera boards is expensive costing 1000 USD and community edition cannot be interfaced with technical computing environment such as MATLAB , while Zedboard with XILINX tools provide an SDK which is simple and can be interfaced to any technical environment tools easily . Altera development tools for high end boards such as Arria , Stratix series do not provide perpetual node locked, device locked editions . They work for maximum for 1 year and asks you to buy the tools of Altera priced at 3000 USD to 4000 USD . The open CV tools follows similar patterns while Xilinx provides these tools for high end devices locked to node and device without need for purchase of the entire tools perpetually . These costs for free software tools are compensated by charging small extra on the boards. I think this is the reason for Xilinx FPGA to have large market share in FPGA's , even though their boards are expensive in comparison to their counterparts. I have purchased devices from both Xilinx and Intel altera so i am bringing this to the notice of the people while purchasing the boards
