I used to be religious and I felt the same way. I’m no longer religious, but I completely respect this about you! I still prefer to read books with less spice so I’m happy to see your recommendations! I’m so excited you are back and that you are comfortable enough to set boundaries even though everyone has different standards and things they read! It does involve social political commentary) •Last time we met (literary fiction w romance) •The 7 1/2 deaths of Evelyn Hugo (mystery) •The darkest minds (YA dystopian) •A good girls guide to murder (YA mystery, I think you may have read this?)

Having so many books on my TBR STRESSES ME OUT! Idk how people do it lol. Usually around Christmas time (also near my birthday) I usually buy lots of books to spoil myself so I’d have like 20 and that to me is a LOT. I usually don’t buy books after that unless I have less than like 4-5 books😭

Better Than The Movies is so worth it! I also thought the Selection series was really fun. The first 3 are the best! The last two aren't as solid. Jennifer Lynn Barnes is now an auto-buy author for me. I love the short chapters! I recently read The Woman In the Window- I flew through it in a day or two. Would recommend.

If you haven’t read the Caraval series before once upon a broken heart then I encourage you to read it first. You technically don’t have too but I highly recommend it so you can fully understand one of the characters background in once upon a broken heart.
