Terrific presentation, thank you! I am about to use swing straps w/ a ring at both ends, ultimately straddling the branch, with an arborist's and my concept of 1) throwing a cord w/ one of two rings tied to cord, 2) putting other end coming back down through 2nd ring and bending it back to tie to 2nd ring - making a loop hanging down -and then pulling the strap up and over the branch, like a curtain cord loop. Archers have methods in addition to throwing/shooting the first line+weight 🙂

seeing a similar issue on TH3 changed the motor and the issue remained. thought maybe the ESC was bad, but when I connected it to my computer I was able to run the motors just fine. weird. gonna check solder and plugs next. thanks for confirming I'm not crazy.
@piranha32
@piranha32 2 жыл бұрын
Tightening the contacts in the plugs helps for a while, but problem returns after several crashes. You have to remove each contact from the housing, tighten it, and re-insert. It's best to do one by one to not swap wires (not a big problem, but you'll have to correct it in BLHeli setup). It's a PITA to do, but will help to confirm that other components are not causing problems.

Hi Jim, Unfortunately AK4AO could not respond directly, but he asked me to pass his response: To get the Cabrillo file needed for submission, you need to do the following: 1. In N1MM+ select File -> Generate Cabrillo File 2.N1MM will open a window to allow you to select the location for the Cabrillo file. It will have the extension .log Hope it helps.

S-Units confuse me. I can design and build antenna's, but I don't get S - Units! An S unit is a received signal strength, the base measure is related to volts, so dBV based upon 20log(Vo/Vin). Now if I increase my transmitted power from 100W to 400W - that is at least notionally '6dB'. But that is calculated from 10Log(400/100). How does a power ratio translate to voltage ratio?

What is interesting, the lens survived, the electronics might be recoverable (one or two components were ripped off the board, no other obvious damages), the only things which were damaged beyond repair were the plastic case, and the lens locking ring.

For analog control you should be able to use a daughter card, but I have no experience with them. For PWM control you can use the card directly. Both may require rebuilding the FPGA bitfile.

Good place to rag chew, definitely JS8. Bad place to rag chew, an emergency network. Most of us have few responses to CQ and do not respond to CQ. Sorry, but thats they way it is. . For a number of reasons. Most of the time JS8 is set up to help stations network, and the operator may be doing something else in the shack. So, they've set up (got to setup, look at notifications) a way to alert you when something is going on. You have to put an audio "wav" file in there, of your choosing. Then, it will alert you , so far, of two fairly important things, one, any of the commands and any "directed" line which may be asking you if your around. And even more importantly, the lines with the MSG command which sends messages into your mailbox can have a different alert sound. I respond to those if I'm in the room. And, if I'm not, I "VIEW" my "MESSAGE BOX" occasionally to see if someone has put a MSG into my box. Many of my messages (california) come from Australia at odd hours. Of course, I'm sitting at the keyboard some times and respond to a few things. But, we are all busy people.

Easy to do, and if you mix up any of the wires, you can fix the rotation in betaflight.
@piranha32
@piranha32 3 жыл бұрын
BLHeli, to be precise. Prop direction setting in betaflight does not affect the direction of rotation of the motors. Soldering is not the difficult part. The bigger problem is having the motors permanently attached to the board, what limits how far you can move it to if you need to fix the camera, do some other work under the canopy, or replace the frame.

The main point which was skipped is that: it is a natural phenomen that accelerating charges emit electromagnetic waves (radio and light) and because of the sine wave nature of the current in an antenna, these charges (current) are constantly accelerating and emitting rf radiation.

Thanks very much for all of these lessons, and especially for pointing out the way that resistor values are indicated in comparison to the coloured method. The other KZbin videos I’ve seen didn’t explain this, they just pulled them out from the labelled packaging that they had obtained them in. I completely messed up my first three attacks on surface mount and had given up any hope of doing it. Now I know what I was doing wrong and you have armed me with the knowledge that I need to give it another go. Thank you.

It was one of the first streams, when all I had was a webcam. Later videos use audio from the PA system, and it sounds much better. Besides that, the presenter decided not to present live, but play a canned presentation with audio played from a BT speaker, what made it even more difficult to pick up.

I did something very similar to this years ago, never launched, but it's all ready to go. I used a C script made by KI4MCW to convert the images into audio and played them out the audio jack. I have more sensors on my PI. Temp, humidity, pressure, and GPS. I used Bash for the main script. I overlayed the data onto the image as well as my call sign. I'm not as experienced on the Ham side of things so I just ripped apart a UV-5r as my radio. If I remade the entire thing I would have used python as I have more experience in that and I got all of the sensor values through python anyways. Your project is definitely more neat then mine. Here is an example of what my images looked like: i.ibb.co/K0vNGYs/02-02-0809.png If you have any questions let me know!

I was surprised it did not fry other radios. a couple of radio shack scanners and r 5000 thousand receiver and a one forty eight gtl side band c b. when I. m bored I listen to the truckers on it.
