@@corrynthiaiam9205 FAMU is good but the Tiger Run On is not inspired by FAMU. I do understand that all the early hbcu band directors in the south were inspired by new orleans sound and probably knew each other. Its good to be proud of your alumni band but the Tiger Run On has nothing to do with FAMU.

Them wack ass diamond they tried to do. They should do a better job copying Southern University # Human Jukebox.. They music horrible to. No musicianship. Sound like a high school band. If Jackson state excite y’all like that UNLV should invite Southern University.

only thing I dont like is some of the marching becuase some people are doing 45 degree stepping and some 90 degree stepping either you do sumthing inbetween or you do one of the other and that makes some people look as if they are marching faster and slower that others while they were playing
@BlackAnt274 жыл бұрын
That’s called being a freshman. As a former trumpet player and retired percussionist you can spot out freshman that are just learning how to play from their diaphragm for the first time while attempting marching. If someone plays from their chest for 3-4 years in high school, the muscle memory/habit won’t be broken by the first game. As it is hard to stop a bad habit like that plus still have your sound travel effectively. You are left with 2 options: 1) Practice playing from diaphragm during the season( at 45 degrees) until you are comfortable enough to start marching/ playing correctly at a 90. This is considered putting in effort to adapt. 2) March at a 90 to look as a union in the band and not play as loud (required) and have your section leader pissed because you aren’t putting in the effort to adapt. #2 can result in you not marching the rest of the season and being losing a scholarship because you didn’t put in the effort. For the first game they sound good so it’s safe to say they were *all* putting in the effort, and you are just knit picking.
