Always crisp and smooth like butter. I love Donald Hayes as a musician. One of my old buddies, Mark Harris told me that I remind him of Donald Hayes in my style of playing. This was in 2008. I didn't know who Donald Hayes was at that time, but heard someone similar to him, that is Marcus Anderson. And I later found out that Marcus Anderson is a protoge of Donald Hayes. From then on I found out that he played with someone who I highly respect from church, that is Dr. Derrick Jackson and Dr Judith McCallister. WOW...... awesome musicianship. If you are a saxophone player, you gotta listen to the work of Donald Hayes. Awesome work!!!!!
