This is kind of like plantishing. I am curious as to how the surface tension reacts to modifications such as sanding, blasting or added holes. By pal had some fenders made for a rare motorcycle by plantishing. They came with a bit of surface rust. Media blasting unsprung the fender and it seriously distorted. Then, hand sanding another one did the same.

*Rerun: An Open Source Visualization Tool For Robotics and Beyond* * *0:17** Introduction to Rerun:* Rerun is an open-source visualization tool designed to help developers debug and understand complex data in robotics and computer vision applications. The founders, Nico and Emil, previously worked at Volumental, where they developed internal visualization tools for a 3D foot scanning application. This experience inspired them to create Rerun. * *3:58** Use Cases:* Rerun helps developers debug code, understand data, and create compelling presentations. It also allows non-technical team members to analyze data, reducing the bottleneck on engineering resources. * *7:02** Open Source and Beta Release:* Rerun is fully open source and recently released its beta version. It is available on GitHub and can be installed with pip install rerun-sdk. * *9:15** Open Source and Profitability:* Rerun aims to be open core, meaning core functionalities are free and open source, while features for teams, such as collaboration and handling large datasets, will be paid. * *11:11** Ecosystem Comparison:* Rerun aims to combine the ease of use of tools like Matplotlib and OpenCV imshow with the power of more complex platforms like RVIZ and Foxglove. * *12:45** Value of Visualizations:* Visualizations facilitate communication and understanding across teams, allowing for better product development and problem-solving. * *18:51** Marketing Strategy:* Rerun's initial focus is on developers, who recognize the need for such a tool. The founders believe that strong visualizations can be valuable for business intelligence and decision-making. * *20:54** Proving Speculation Wrong:* Visualizations can help dispel incorrect assumptions about how a system works, leading to quicker and more accurate problem-solving. * *22:39** Visualizing to Improve Understanding:* The founders emphasize the importance of visualizing data before attempting to fix bugs or improve algorithms, much like profiling code before optimizing it. They draw parallels to visual thinking in mathematics and other fields. * *23:42** Applicability Beyond Robotics:* While initially focused on robotics, Rerun can be applied to other domains, such as gaming, once C++ libraries are available. I used gemini-1.5-pro-exp-0801 to summarize the transcript. Cost (if I didn't use the free tier): $0.08 Input tokens: 20665 Output tokens: 472

Both pointers of a robot have to be in the same distance - the thickness of a metal sheet being forming. The centerpoints of pressure pointer and of releasing pointer have to be aiways in perpendicular with Centerline of forming sheet. The pressure pointer is doing convexity, the releasing pointer is doing concavity. The pressure pointer is moving in (for example) in clockwise direction, while the releasing pointer in the opposite is in counterclockwise direction, by keeping the same feedrate. Cool idea 💡!

It should be rushed into production and retrofitted to all sea transport, those container ships and the rest of the loud propellor ships to stop all the sound pollution that has stopped whales communicating with each other, they stopped shipping after the 911 attack for a little while and suddenly heard whales start singing, they had stopped for so long that nobody had heard them before.

LOL damn I'll probably never hear another thing about this tech, the US military are not very intelligent but sooner or later they'll realise that a sub with a quite stirling engine powering it, and this fantastic fin propelling it, that sub would be impossible to detect, it would sound like a large ray or shark on sonar. I hope that it isn't classified and buried by the US, the sub that used a stirling engine was, after it sunk the USS flagship aircraft carrier in war games, I wish I could be involved in this kind of development.
