That is beautiful Adams tie, but I have one question, why do you wrap it with a copper wire, since it is a dry fly, and you need it to land as softly as possible? I would probably wrap with mono instead MSG Leum

That is a good question. The recipe for this pattern from Mike Valla calls for small oval tinsel or small gold wire. I personally wouldn’t include it in my fishing flies but for the sake of this video I wanted to keep to the recipe for this classic pattern.
