Your picture of the front inside of the trailer is exactly like mine. ( starCraft travel star sport, we paid $6000) everything‘s removed and including the heater. I Was thinking of just covering it up with another sheet of plywood and reinforcing the floor, but after looking at your video, I’m probably gonna take everything out because I do know that the plywood at the bottom is also compromised. Thanks for the video. You did a nice repair. Mike from Montreal.

As a member of the current Hilton high school marching band, it’s nice to see it in its glory years. It is nowhere near what you guys were. Thank you.

Thanks. Good production value! Anyhow, I was thinking of buying a hybrid, this is good information. I almost wonder if the membrane on the bottom makes the issue worse by preventing the moisture from escaping. I always wondered why popups (non-laminated floors) just painted the plywood instead of a plastic or something, but now that I see it, the vinyl floor and membrane would trap the moisture in place.

I'm convinced it's engineered to do so, once the water leak starts it's a death sentence for the trailer and owner is supposed get rid of it and buy a brand new one. I really don't understand why there's no way to quickly inspect the floor, or have a way to vent it. or even a drain plug. anything. I tore up my floor but I'm still hesitant to put new plywood - what if I missed something and it starts pooling water again?

I loved your video. I got taken too by this really religious (fake religious) couple that met us at their church parking lot in Chester Missouri. It was very cold and i didnt check the structure closely enough. Its a jayco jay feather unit and now im replacing the whole floor, end to end. I would love to call that couple and give them what for, but oh well, just going to redo the whole camper "custom" instead. I hate liars, but their everywhere i guess. I would never be able to be soooo dishonest.

I have a Jayco Jayfeather 25E hybrid with rotted floor and questionable roof. Would love to know what you do and/or how extensive your damage turns out to be.

Literally have this same camper a 2006, didn’t pay 7500 for it low got it a LOT cheaper , BUT i ended up doing the whole floor as well as part of the ceiling, added a new skylight dome , new toilet, built a grid like subfloor support under the whole base to add more support and cross beams. It’s definitely a nice looking camper now lol and over all a great pick up for some camping trips with the family. You’re literally the first camper video I’ve found with the same exact one i have, all the diy videos i found have different campers but the same work i needed so i just applied the knowledge to mine 😂. I did the same type of “documentation” of the build so could get it all done in time to camp some. We got it at the start of this year. Congratulations on the finish and safe travels out there bruddah

I'm in the same vote, just found out last night while camping. It's like it happened all of a sudden. It just my bathroom floor though, well I think we'll see when the flooring comes up.

I'm curious as to what year this is. TIME CHECK was on the "Roar of '74" album, and Joe Romano was the lead alto player. Joe quit the band right after the album. I think that's Pat LaBarbara on tenor! He was on the "Roar of' 74" too!

My saxophone teacher for 18 years passed away recently. He played with Buddy's band for about a year in his youth. That must have been quite an experience. So I'm only two degrees from Buddy.... I doubt if he would have hired me though! At the time this video was made, I was still in high school playing trombone. Even though the toughest lines go to the saxes, I doubt if I would have ever been able to cut this tune even in my best days on bone. I have some playalong sax tunes that go almost this fast, never been able to make much of a dent in them.

BR Altoist RAY RICKER sent me this email after I asked him if he missed any notes (haha) in that marvelous ’73 “At The Top” sax chorus at 2:12 of TIME CHECK (that night was only his 3rd or 4th Gig with the BR band). His reply: “Buddy came to Rochester and the 2nd alto player hurt his hand somehow. I knew the LaBarbera brothers and John & Pat recommended me for the gig. I filled in for the Rochester gig, which was a week and then played a couple of other area gigs. Buddy offered me the job, but I already was teaching at Eastman, was married with a daughter and had a good start on a teaching/playing career. As luck would have it, the local Public TV station was doing a show on Buddy. I think it was recorded on the 3rd or 4th night I was on the band. It was picked up by stations around the U.S. Lots of people saw it, and now it is on KZbin & DVD. I really enjoyed my week+ with Buddy. He was very cordial and nice to me. Brian Grivna & I have kept track of each other over the years and I probably see Pat once every other year or so when he is in Rochester. I probably did miss a note here and there in TIME CHECK, but the unwritten rule in playing something like that is to keep going and at least play the contour of the line. ;-) Good luck to you in your musical endeavors. And thanks for taking the time to write. -Ray”

Either by Facebook Search or Googling "Ray Ricker" to get his email address - can't remember which. He answered immediately - clearly a super guy in addition to monster saxist.

TrumpetTunes, it's RAY RICKER (not Ray Rinker) on Alto with Brian Grivner - don't know how that misspelling ever got started. SAXES (L-R): Pat LaBarbera, Ray Ricker, Brian Grivna, Don Englert, Rick Centalonza (b)

From 2:45 on the way Buddy plays I just can't believe what I'm seeing OR hearing. I don't know whether he thought out how to interpret a tune or if it's just instinct but I, even after watching and listening to him closely for years, still can't say I've ever seen anything like it.

Is it true that he could not read music? I saw him in concert and had a wonderful seat overlooking the drums. I could see him playing, but difficult to believe what I was seeing. He played the West Side Story medley, the band just swinging and Buddy just DRIVING. The big band drummer is a special animal!
