Great video and a great day on the water Chris and Heath! That sounded like a fun challenge. Seems like the trout are the hardest to get for me when going for the slam!

Glad to see you made it out on the 17th and had a great morning. I got to the landing and had to cancel as motor on my NuCanoe wouldn't start. "Fried" by braid line from a previous trip that apparently cut through the seal. Managed Pawleys south end the next day in a borrowed yak and caught 3 small slot reds, putting a little salve on the previous day's sting.

Good to see you and Heath in my stomping grounds, especially up that last little creek. There''s a lot of water back there on a good tide. Have you tried the North end of Pawleys? I'm headed to your stomping grounds tomorrow, hoping for some trout and reds.

How does the ICW direction change with the tides? Easy to understand big to medium, to skinny water with incoming, and re3verse with outgoing. But the ICW seems to flow both directions, sometimes at the same time.

Wow, the trout came out for you! I was in MI area for first time this past week kayak fishing. I got only one 13" trout, but several flounders and one nice red drum. Really impressed with all the fishable inshore marsh waters down there. Hope your red fish tournment catch was good. I saw some big red fish on the move in the evenings just before dark! They were pushing up in the creek grass feeding and not interested in my lures.

What about dirty water compared to Clear water
@DeadCalmOutdoorsАй бұрын
Good question. When it comes to dirty water I was use a paddle tail to get a good thump or a spinner bait to get flash and thump. As far as color I will use a lighter color like a white or pearl or Zman beer run. I believe attracting fish with vibration is better in dirty water. Hope that helps 👍👊🏻
